The official "What did you do to your jet boat today" thread.

Took out the shrinkwrap, oil change, plugs, check the timing chain (@ 230hrs, build date 9/2013 everything looks great), fill the bumpers, replace some led strips that were out, and went to wetsand out a lot of little scratches and finished with compound, polish, and wax. This took a lot longer than I expected but the boat looks great.

I ordered a new reverse gate cable and strap for boarding ladder.
Still need to fix stitching on 1 seat. Im not sure if I want to do it myself because I have to take the cover off and staple it again.

Pulled pumps on my new to me boat and the impellers were dinged up pretty good. The clearance on the wear ring was good so I decided to smooth out the dings and bends with a hammer, pliers, and a dremel.

Instead of replacing with new impellers, I’d rather end up dinging an old pair of impellers on the boat as I’m learning - coming from a stern drive. Turned out to be a good decision because I sucked up a few pebbles at the boat ramp today.

Big weekend, wet sanded and compounded the hull. Did a lousy job on port side, got it mostly correct on starboard side. Heavily oxidized, I’ll hit it again this Fall or next Spring. Mixed wax and Rejax on port side too, oops. Wax only on starboard.

Washed the interior and installed SeaDek on cabin floor. I bought the 4” wide for there, really like it better than the 2” which seemed too “busy”.

Broke out the shipping cover for the first time. Slips on nice, but not sure if I need it.

Just need to grease a few things and it’s ready for the water.

thats not a cockpit this is a cockpit ?
I ran out of space on the starboard console so I started using the port side... i don't even have the iPad for the radar and chart overlay in the holder.
I do have trim tab buttons on the stbd throttle

I washed the pollen off the cover. Man, it was naaaasty. And my eyes are a hot allergic mess now. PXL_20220427_140602805.jpg

Lubed steering and reverse bucket cables. While I had the throttle levers opened up I adjusted throttle linkage to eliminate throttle drop - I bent the fork tighter with needle nose pliers and some sweating lol.

My cables were by no means stuck, but they are much smoother now and I pushed out a bunch of black grime from the steering cables.

Great work! If you use series 148 hose it won't kink. You have one hose there that looks like it's kinked a bit.

Last year I changed the cooling line clamps under the cleanout tray. I'm struggling to remember, I think that I changed 3 of the 4 clamps because 3 of the clamps were fused to the hoses and my back wasn't feeling good. Clamp #4 looked perfect and I decided to skip it. Well, yesterday I went to change the reverse gate cable and checked these clamps while I had the cleanout tray out. #4 was broken. But, look at this clamp - it doesn't look like too rotted. Maybe I did change it, but over tightened it?? It has millimeter markings on it which indicates OEM, but that doesn't mean much. I have a big box of random clamps that I could've found a metric clamp.

Edit: did yamaha put steel OEM clamps?? I remember they did some crazy s***t like that. If that's the case case then I over tightened it

Not today but past two weeks. Oil and spark plug change, clean engines and engine bay, wetsand and polish, reupholstered seat bottoms, mounted permanent anchor light on top of tower, fished wires for new light through tower to helm, swapped out 4 pin connector for just tower speakers to 6 to integrate new light, deep clean every inch, soundproofing on engine cover hatch, new engine hatch seal, new surfboard rack, waiting on marine mat cockpit kit, waiting on edging for helm compartment. Other than that….nothing. I also have 4 new wheels and tire for the trailer. Surfboard rack up! $150 was a good deal. This think is solid. IMG_6610.jpg

A few things:
1. Lateral thruster and thrust vectors
2. Mechanical access port riser
3. Front platform and cushions
4. Not sure what they are called but quick release for bumpers
