Mine has the post holders, but they were empty! šŸ˜†. The table post is also back there. On the live well posts, the front one is threaded, the back one is a push in rubber type. I only had the threaded one.
Add that to the list of things to check at the dealer before you take possession!

I picked up my 255 last Friday. Put 12 hrs on it this weekend. I love it. I'm coming from a 30' Donzi with twin 300s. I felt like it handled well. I'm having to adjust to steering a jet boat at idle speed.
The biggest complaint I have is the seat bolsters. They need different padding. I already have a hole in the divers seat from the metal hinges rubbing through.
The engines are a little loud when cruising. At idle speed it's fine, but you have to crank out nearly 4k rpm to travel 8-10 mph. So it's a bit noisy.
Would have also expected a little better out of the wet sounds system. You have to turn it way up to hear it while cruising.
As far as adding trim tabs I don't think it will be necessary. Boat seems to ride stable.
Never got into really rough conditions, but I felt that it handled some chop pretty well. That was one of my biggest concerns since you can't trim the motors.
The only real issue I had was a clam shell had me stuck in reverse. That had me a little upset. I'm just going to have to be a little more cautious about pulling up on sand bars.
I averaged 1.9 mpg, but I was still breaking in the engine so I never really ran the boat hard. That was a lot of idling and cruising between 25-35 mph

Itā€™s definitely an adjustment to move to jet from prop engines. I was lucky enough to go back and forth on two boats for several years. You will get the hang of it. Idle speed steering requires constant adjustment, where a prop will continue on a path at idle speed.

Does anyone know if thereā€™s a relief valve for the freshwater input?

Dunno about a relief valve, but there has to be a vent. I imagine when itā€™s full itā€™ll start overflowing somewhere.

There is an overflow port on the starboard side. Basically if you overfill it runs out near the live well drain.

8ā€™ antenna, the upper compartment roof is super thin. No way you could put an antenna up there without damaging the roof from the stress forces. I had to reinforce it with a piece of marine ply painted with epoxy, thatā€™s the 4 bolts you see with fender washers. That thing ainā€™t going anywhere

Added the t top glove box this weekend. Turned out pretty well and was $38 for the glove box online.
nice! how did you route the antenna wire down to the radio. Was it a pain? Also, how are you going to put your drinks in the drink holders in the overhead without spilling?šŸ˜

So the existing light and speaker wires from the t top run down the rear port side post. I used 100# mono with a 4oz weight and ran it down the starboard side rear post. Yes it was a pain, some interesting acrobatics to be able to reach it through the upper compartment, but not impossible.

I did find out there is supposed to be a "drain post" and mine is just missing. I'm expecting a replacement, but if not I'll buy one online.

I took the boat in for the 10 hour service today, and to have the side scan tested. I cant get any picture at all from the side scan, but the down scan and sonar work fine.

I was able to find a locking glove box which fits the upper acrylic cavity under the T Top, I'll post some photos of the finished product when it's in place. (If it looks good, if not I'll put the original acrylic back in.
Please let me know how you make out with the Side Scan test. My side scan also doe not work, The head storage and fish box also retain water, drain very slowly

I had mine in for service last week (10 hour) and they told me the transducer was bad, ordered it and will be replaced when I take it in to have the trolling motor installed. (On backorder for months) so far Iā€™m ā€œunderwhelmedā€ with the Simrad product in comparison to my Lowrance HDS7. Iā€™m chalking that up to familiarity so far.

When you say ā€œhead storage ā€œ do you mean the front of the tower? Not sure what you are describing in ā€œfish boxā€ either but Iā€™m interested to check both of those spots when I understand better!
