That's minimum of $2500. Cars are so expensive nowadays. Last week I had to replace a Rolls Ghost headlight to the tune of $12,500.....no kidding...that's just the headlight without install labor.

I got a quote for $1000 cash at a local body shop that has good reviews, 4.8 out of 5 on google. That's supplying my own tail light which I found OEM open box on eBay for $575+tax so my brother ordered that and I told him he can do of the body work during the winter when I'm in colombia. Probably you're right, if it went through insurance, list price on the tail light, the body work, + tax it would be close to $2500. But my brother will pay $1625 out of pocket and we avoid an insurance claim.

I haven’t done it yet, but have considered getting one of these. Easier to use than a regular tape measure.

It is an Engineers’ scale, not a regular tape measure. The major units are feet and the minor unit tenths of a foot, not inches! (And the smallest hundredths of a foot.

Agree, I asked my father in law who is a tool and die maker and he said the same thing. Seems most land surveyors have the same kind of measurement system for accuracy.

Great fall day on Pactola…. It was cool and got chilly when the breeze blew but what a stunning fall day in the Black Hills! One 2# laker, a 4# rainbow, and we had a good size laker on, probably in the 12-15# range but it got off. Learned that Lakers will hit on a brad’s cut plug at 2.5 mph.. that opens up some possibilities for the future. Today was probably it for the season, 37 boating days this year.

We had a pretty early cold snap for NC, and then a really nice warm/hot snap. So, I grabbed the boat really quick on the last "warm" day of the snap to do a test fit for the impact graphics and to ship those back to jetboatpilot. My boat is beyond taken care of and the graphics are peeling up in several places on a lot of the graphics. I figured I can still get the OEM graphics, but they obviously suck and I'm what you'd call just an ok vinyl installer. And by OK I've done it a handful of times for jetskis and such. Didn't really wanna futz with 6'+ long graphics and them likely to peel up in a few years anyways....at best. Not to mention the cost differential between the impact graphics and these were neglible with an easier install.

This is why they do the test fits cause I have ballast overflow vents on both sides which were not accounted for in their original template it seems. So I taped over that with painters tape and traced it with a sharpie.




Headed back to storage. The temps dropped by nearly 10* from when I started just a few hours before.

I need to do this on my garage. Hoping 1 big one will be adequate to cool 1000sf x 15’ high just enough so I don’t have a heat stroke.

Check out Mr Cool mini splits. They're designed to be DIY so you don't need an HVAC guy to connect the fittings and charge the lines. There are probably other manufacturers who design them as DIY as well.

Yes i instaled them myself. I also ran the power to the shutoff boxes outside. I just have to install the covers for the line set on the outside.
1000 square feet with 15 foot ceiling will take more than you would think.
You might be ok with 2 18000s
I could have used 2 18000 but didn't want to take the chance

Check out Mr Cool mini splits. They're designed to be DIY so you don't need an HVAC guy to connect the fittings and charge the lines. There are probably other manufacturers who design them as DIY as well.

All these minisplits are exactly the same install. And most are actually from the same manufacturer. I went with Della because my electrician friend recommended them and has installed a few on his house and very happy
Also Della were wifi ready from the factory
