I feel your pain… that made a hole too big to repair, just another case of buying the discount tire road hazard warranty paying for itself!

Weird weather, 65 degrees tonight when I went down to do horse chores. When I came back to the house, this guy was at the door. Never have I ever seen a frog, even a tree frog in March. Still have snow banks in the yard. Crazy stuff!

Had a great day at TPC Sawgrass yesterday.

Had great seats overlooking the 18th fairway

Watched Scheffler tee off at 5.

Watched McIlroy warm up for awhile too.

And, of course, watched a bunch of players come through the iconic 17th.

70 degrees yesterday! Dog has the right idea.

Just started replacing the AR230 seat skins that we purchased from @TheUpholsteryGuy. Setup things in the garage and things are going well. My wife found a video that would be a good one for someone who is interested in doing this project on their own seats.

Dang dude…your shadow looks like a spaghetti western lol!

Other than some landscaping we can close the book on this pool build thank God. Some bugs to work out with the connectivity of the computer and app on phone but for most part she’s done.

They changed the packaging on the oil/oil change kits. I'm normally "run the best synthetic I can find" type of person, but I change this every season and put like 20 hours a year on my boat. I could probably run peanut oil and be just fine. 🤣 That and I went into analysis paralysis with oils and eventually said eff it and just bought the kits again. 20250322_183540.jpg

I was planning on knocking all the boat stuff out in two weeks, but my wife's jeep needs a bunch of service. Need to change the spark plugs and if anyone has changed plugs on a modern vehicle you know the pain that is. Having to take apart half the motor to get to plugs is stupid.

I had Jeeps when they had Straight 6s Simplicity at its finest. Not a fan of the v6 that is in everything from a caravan to a grand Cherokee.

Same! I had a couple XJs back in the day. Those were stupid easy to change the plugs on. That V6 in everything is garbage. Well now they have that turbo 4cyl which I can only imagine is even worse. Any forced induction motor from stellantis/Chrysler/Fiat is bound to be an absolute dumpster fire. This will definitely be our last jeep and it's allegedly one of the last "reliable" ones built. 🤣 I'd say several oil coolers, oil pressure switch, thermostat/sensor, etc in less than 100k miles is not reliable. I can't imagine those that actually wheel these things and the constant upkeep it would take to keep these on the trail. Most of that I paid someone to fix, but the labor hours and parts cost for spark plugs is just insanity. Especially when it's not hard just crazy time consuming. Once you get everything out of the way it'll only take 10 mins to change all the plugs. They made the diffs easy to change with the drain plugs. That I wish I had on the XJ. I enjoy the maintenance on the boat. It's easy to do everything. The jeep I'll be cussing the whole time and shaking my head. 😆

With boat season fast approaching I wanted another camera angle on the driveway where the boat is parked when I have it home. We live in one of the safest cities in the country, but assbag teenagers from time to time do stupid stuff. I'm not so worried about the boat being stolen as much as potentially vandalized by some bored kids. 20250324_163643.jpg20250324_202528.jpgScreenshot_20250324_202914_Ring.jpg

Just a reminder to not step on the seat cushions. While pulling seats out of the boat I came across this broken base. It’s one off of the engine hatch that hangs over the hatch about 5-6 inches. I’m sure this didnt happen after one time and it never sagged but now that is out and a new seat skin is ready I’m going to cut a new base out of some starboard.

Is that 1/2" or 3/4? Wondering if thicker would help in this situation. I get the feeling this would be noticeable, but Menards sells 4x8 sheets of the stuff, so for what seems to be the "typical" cost of smaller pieces of starboard, when the time comes, I may want to consider a whole re-do, since it seems like a trace-and-cut operation.
