2018 Bimini June trip (June 24th - June 30th)

Yeah... Super smooth crossing! One front line that caused more waves... But nothing like last year. We averaged probably 28-30 with one section up to 35-38 where we wanted to get ahead of some rain. As Walt said.... If you can drink 4 beers during the crossing ... It was an easy ride!

Now the crossing was nice but..... Get this.... My starboard tower pin came loose!!!! WTF!

The pin that is supposed to hold it in is Way shorter on that side than the port. Also the spring loaded ball bearing doesn't come up.

So I'm going to have to improvise something to hold it in.... Grrrr

Anyone have a hex key set.. . My antenna is loose

Glad ya'll had a great crossing! Had rougher waters trying to beat the storm back on the river tonight.

Yes there is one on my boat

Uh oh. The curse of the Bahama Yamaha Tower is real. This time on the big boy tower!! @swatski has created a voodoo monster :D

If I still have the boat and somehow make it next year I'm going to fly my tower over and fly it back lol.

Did anyone else buy another boat this evening? Just me? Gauntlet thrown down yet again. Good luck July group.

@swatski even with the smooth crossing today about 12 miles outside bimini @Ramblin Wreck wife said she heard a funny noise coming from the tower no BS my passenger side tower bolt backed completely out during the crossing. We screwed it back in but that was crazy for a smooth crossing.

So even random strangers who I have spoken to here have heard of @swatskis misfortune
Says a lot for Yamaha, huh?

In front of building 18 right near the office. I can't go down there right now but I can drop it on your boat in the morning.

i also have a large all inclusive and totally over the top and over weighted tool bag in my boat that may or may not include a cordless drill and two fully charged batteries along with various other tools... and yes an extensive bit and hex head sets. !!!

Damn this is nuts! Ever since last year and @swatski misfortune I have made it a point to periodically check my tower bolts to see if they get loose. So far (knocks on wood) they haven't moved even in some rougher riding. Yamaha better get this fixed before someone dies from it or gets a serious injury.

Old sx230, nothing crazy.

So, drinking on the crossing either has it's advantages or disadvantages. We'll find out later

The only SX230 I know of here is @bronze_10 boat is he stepping up his game lol

Gotcha covered if the others dont pan out.

For the record @Julian , my 2 guesses were correct in Stan and Mike both having tools.

Bought the sx230 on eBay. I think it was actually posted on the forum sometime last week, I just happened to remember and rush back to WiFi from the pool. Probably overpaid, but that's the fun thing about alcohol, it just doesn't matter right now!
