Bimini Trip June 27th - July 2nd 2021

You are breaking my heart thinking that I will confuse a mythical creature with a creature of imagination. I was actually trying to make an “inside” joke since @robert843 called certain type of women as “unicorns” and that they are keepers.

damn @Betik going old school I had almost forgot about this video till you mentioned it lol

I got your inside joke, I am just "pulling your leg" sir.

Anyone making the trip for the first time might want to watch this video. Each trip is different but it will give you an idea of the crossing.

Another informative video.

Keep in mind, the 2018 crossing was under near ideal circumstances (minus the seaweed).
In all likelihood, your crossing will be (much) rougher than this.

So true. Still, so worth it!
I really loved taking my kids, it was a bit unnerving at times, perhaps, but just enough to put the fear of God into their young hearts, I felt.
Not to get philosophical but there is nothing like being out there in the ocean, away from an ipad screen, with no land on the horizon; it will make you feel one and the same with the universe, pretty quick, lol.

And to keep the juices of stories about Bimini crossings going....here is my story of the infamous 2017 crossing and CG rescue!

I turned this into a keynote speach at a company event....I should post the ppt also! LOL

THAT was quite the ordeal!!! I’ve read so many posts about prepping for Bimini but somehow missed that one. Very informative on how things can go so wrong. Props to you for getting them there safely?

I am so tempted to do this again... These trips are the best.

We did it twice in 2016 and 2017 IIRC, we followed @Bruce who trailblazed the trips and organized everything with amazing detail. Now everyone can do it.
Thanks @Bruce, we owe you and your family a debt of gratitude.
I have done a lot of crazy things boating related beforehand but I would not had crossed the Gulf Stream in a 19ft jet boat if it was not for this group, and being able to follow Bruce's trusty 230, lol.

Those boats had planned to cross with us then decided to cross on their own. Both boats had said that they had fixed VHF radios and satellite messaging devices when all they had were handhelds and cell phones. Had a condo owner not sat on his boat for hours watching for this boat there could have been fatalities.

That was a rough day followed by a great time in Bimini.

I think I've seen just about every video on YouTube about this trip. I've been impatiently waiting to go. Been wanting to go since 2018. Every year something happens that prevents me. Now I got a boat thats a little better suited than my old scarab 195. Should be a blast.

its Key West Poker Run week lol we are focused on other things plus I'm doing everything I can to try and not plan Exuma 2021 (I think my wife may divorce me)
Was that last weekend or coming up this weekend? Got a place i can pop a tent if its this next weekend lol

Though... it might be bad for me to go down if its this coming weekend.. selling house Friday with cash in hand lol.

LOL yes all the Youtube earnings( which is not very much). Thanks for the free plug though everyone be sure to check my three channels out Broncos Guru, Boats vs Haulover and Miami Boat Ramps. I actually just started working on the newest channel to the roster with @Andy S hopefully soon we will be ready for a true premiere for his channel.

I bought my first boat not long ago abs can’t stop watching your videos. Hilarious stuff my man I hope to god to meet you on this trip. Keep up the work I look forward to your content.

Wait, you upgrading the seahunt already @robert843??

This makes me sad... cant believe family booked a cruise without talking to us. My wife is bummed as well.
Hope that cruise actually happens....will be interesting when the cruise ships start operating again....but perhaps it would be a good time to go as perhaps they won't run the boats full????

2017 so many memories.
Here the lost and found boat during refueling and about 3 miles west of BS
