@Marvin willis glad to know we have another happy member! Did you buy the new switch from a dealer or order it online?

Glad you got it fixed @Marvin willis , be sure to update your profile to include location...it adds you to the member map automatically! Congrats on the first fix, and welcome to the forum!

Marvin, it sounds connection related to me, at least if moving it fixed it, I am guessing corrosion. Hit is with something good like CorrosionX and reassemble. Hard to say, not knowing the history, your location, and any other info...another reason for giving your location in your profile. That way, we know how to address specifics without asking one question after another, like...where did this boat come from, where is it now, is it stored on water, outside, inside, salt air environment, etc. This is fixable, but stuff like corrosion can cause headaches.

When I tried the button today it didn't work so I cut the wire terminals off and installed new ends. When that didn't work I unplugged the port side plug and wd40ed the plug and plugged it back in. When that didn't work I switched the plugs (starboard and portside). That's when both sides stopped working. Maybe the wd40 isn't allowing it to make good contact? I wouldn't think so but that's the only thing that has changed on the starboard side.

Would it work if I touched the wires together bypassing the switch. At least then I would know if it's the wire or switch

If I can't get these switches to work, will the check engine light stay off if I don't try and use the no wake mode?

@Marvin willis The access panels to the YDS hook ups and other harness plugs are in the rear storage areas with the gull wing doors. Look on the aft wall for the round white plate.

I saw the one on the battery side but nothing behind it. I didn't look on the other side tomoro. Haven't had time to mess with it yet. I will tomorrow. Thanks

I did touch the wires together to bypass the switch. Just caused the 68 code to pop up. Tells me to look further down the line

Not familiar with the 2005. Isn't there a reset button and or fuse for the no-wake mode?

Not that I've seen. Looking forward to tomorrow. Gonna really tear into it after work

Still no luck. Ohmed the switches. Tested fine. Crced every plug. Found the access panel and crced all the plugs there too. I have dual batteries and I turned both on and both were charged. Don't know. :-(
