Some people may know this but I have seen a lot of posts here that have described this very issue and I stumbled upon a fix this weekend. I never shut the sea cock valve so from time to time my center locker ballast bag will fill up unwillingly. While I was floating around this weekend I decided to go into the ballast bag screen and touch and hold the empty arrow. I heard the ballast pump kick on ( while engines running ) and start to empty the bag. It will run maybe 10 seconds then you have to do it again but I was able to completely empty the bag.

I figured I would share since we are not told these hidden tricks.

I replaced the pump impeller on mine this summer and that stopped the bag from filling when it’s not supposed to while running around. Seems the impellers take a bad set when sitting all winter without moving. I plan to pull my new impellers out this winter to prevent that from happening.

@Rod5 what type of pump do you have?

Jabsco is what came in our 2016 x model. Found them on Amazon.

Here is the original impeller causing the pump to allow a trickle of flow at speed. Notice the bent blades and this been out of the pump for months. They were completely folded over when I first took it out.

I think I will follow your lead and pull my impeller this winter. Thanks for the heads up.
