I've logged a ticket with Harmony to see if they will do anything for me to replace my Harmony Ultimate remote that "died". Well it didn't die per se, it glitches all the time, randomly triggering pre programmed events.....like turn on the TV. Which is quite disconcerting when you are upstairs and the TV comes on downstairs and no one else is in the house!

Does anyone use Insteon stuff? I have our outdoor and pool lights on their switches and they work well but I need to do a few more things around the house and they seem to be hard to find now. Not sure if it’s worth switching brands or if other brand switches might be compatible?
A lot of folks still really appreciate their very reliable insteon protocol devices, but see telltale signs that the company may be on it's last leg. Insteon wasn't doing well and sold back in 2017. Some are saying that they might be now owned by Nokia Lighting. Insteon and Smarthome have been citing supplier issues for years now - well before the madness hit the supply chains, and current ebay prices for used parts are appreciably higher now than when they were new due to shortages.
I spoke to one of their folks about a month ago trying to track down a few items. He reluctantly admitted that they've decided to completely abandon some Insteon products including the Motion Sensor II with no other alternative. Some folks are already de-installing and selling off before the company completely dies off. If you can get parts - they really are arguably the most reliable and scalable products out there especially when you pair them up with a solid controller like the ISY994i series and it's sister variations.

@AZMark
I've been really happy with the Lutron Caseta switches. Installed them in my house and slowly adding them to my brother's house when I visit. Lutron is a solid player (as far as I know)
They have both high load switches and just dimmer switches for lights (the dimmer switches require no neutral wire...so super easy to install).
The geomagnetic incident resulted in the Starlink transmitters drifting back into Earth’s atmosphere, where they will burn up, potentially costing the company about $100 million.
Annoying that Logitech themselves aren't saying anything on their site! But just look at the pricing of their remotes and you can see they are now at a premium as most stores are out of stock. $500 for an Ultra on Ebay! MSRP $349

Time will tell, but that article sure isn't nice about their planning and foresight! Sure seems like 2025 may deal them a serious blow when solar flares are predicted to hit their maximum in the next cycle, causing the atmospheric density to double at times - pulling their low orbit satellites down.... (I won't be investing in it!)

I'll be curious to hear what you chose. I agree, this sucks - wish they'd sold it to someone (but I'm guessing they tried and had no buyers). The majority of people just have a TV and/or Smart TV, and a streaming device. Not many have amps, receivers etc. And the ecosystems are working better together all the time.....Sony TV with Playstation for example.

Stuff just works better together now anyway. In one room we have a TV and a soundbar, added an Apple TV to the mix, and it all gets controlled like magic via HDMI. I even hit the pause button on the tv remote by accident, and it paused playback from the Apple TV. Makes me want to update equipment in other rooms to be more current.

Agreed, but when you have a bunch of money invested in a receiver that doesn't play as nicely (its older)....it is much harder to justify a $1500 investment (or more).
Plus....my main goal was to eliminate the FING STUPID Apple TV remote (which does work on my ecosystem....it just doesn't have controls I want - like switch inputs and mute)
I had single button macros set up to, for example, play Spotify on all zones....can't do that on an Apple TV remote.

The Logitech remotes are still available to buy. I would just buy another Logitech now and see what your needs are and what new things are available 5 years down the road.

It has mute. My newer Sony TV automatically switches inputs for me, which is nice. If your TV is HomeKit compatible you can use Siri to switch sources too.

2nd generation that just came out finally added a mute button!!! Idiots for not having it on the first gen. Same for a power button! Siri...what is that??? LOL
