Maybe I missed this earlier, but was looking at replacing my AR250 carpet with the snap in option of Marine Mats.

I reached out to Marine Mat and got the following response:

In order to get the 2021 model mat kit you will need to go directly through a Yamaha dealer.

It appears that MM mat will not support any AM post 2020 on a direct sell.... I didn't inquire if that extended to their dealers, but since it was not offered as an option I assume that to also be the case.

Thanks.

The parts tree allows me to order replacement carpet, but not upgrade the seadek like marine mat. I could follow a 252 tree, but not sure snaps are aligned. Anyone done this with their AR?

Curious, my AR250 has the snap in MM, except for the swim deck. Yours didn't come with snap in MM?

You probably have the snap in woven "carpet". It's not carpet like material but don't know what else to call it ..lol. Don't think any base AR models come with marine mat thru out, but I could be wrong since I don't or haven't seen a 250 in person

Ah, now I get it, yes its that woven like material not the same material as the swim deck for example. Apologies, I read the OP's post wrong.

I doubt Marine Mat would guarantee the snaps would align from your carpet to the Marine Mat either. But you can buy the Marine mat and then move any snaps that need to be adjusted. Or get in on the Seadek group buy running right now....

Yeah.... thought I was being smart by buying a snap in mat to replace the carpet versus the whole process of hole filling and gluing in.

But slowly coming to the conclusion that the current promotion and the glue in process might be the path to take.

I thought about going that route last year, but decided against it for a few reason. One is the seadek group buy is only a few hundred more for the whole entire boat including replacing the junk mat on the swim deck. Second is I get tired of pulling out the carpet to clean underneath, and it's always gross on the under side. Bit the bullet and got the full sea dek kit (every available pad), filling in the snaps and installing shouldn't be too bad.
