Movie Reviews - What's your thought about what you've seen?

Begin Again.

Caught this on Netflix or Amazon Prime the other night. It was very good. My kids (teenage daughters) liked it. If you like Maroon 5 you will like this movie. It's a feel good movie with Mark Rufalo and Kiera Knightly. There are 3 good songs by Adam Levine on the soundtrack I added to my boat playlist.

I'm not sure I could dislike anything with Kiera Knightly in it...

Ok for an 11 year old?

Not sure I can answer that one. I don't remember anything that bad in it, but then again everyone is very different when it comes to what is okay and not okay for their kids. I would suggest watching it by yourself then you decide. It's worth watching twice anyway.

Against my will....We went to see Bad Mom's last night. I laughed my ass off!!:winkingthumbsup"

I took my wife to see Bad Moms tonight/ date night and loved it, so did she.
I needed to see a comedy and am almost positive it was better than the alternative, ghost busters. Not to be sexist but I just don't see how a cast of women are going to upstage Bill Murray, Dan A. And crew.

I wish they would stop remaking classics. The new versions are awful. Cannot believe they agreed to remake Ben Hur.

Watched "The Arrival" over the weekend....give it a C+/B-....not something you want to go watch if you've recently lost a loved one to a terminal disease (unless you are ready for it). i found it interesting....

We saw Passengers last night. The movie was long....but very good!:winkingthumbsup"

We saw Passengers the other night. I thought it was okay. Kinda long. I told out teens to wait for it on Redbox. Not worth spending $20 to see it at the theaters.

I'd heard mixed reviews on "Passengers".....great special effects on the weightless scenes that were awesome on the big screen - but not enough plot or character development to hold the movie together....

I love scifi movies....so maybe I'll see it in the budget theater?

We also saw "Why Him" over the holiday break. That was a pretty entertaining movie and a few scenes had me busting at the gut laughing out loud!

I've seen a few movies over the last two weeks. Here is my read:
Rouge one, go
Assassins Creed, junk
Passengers, good but it can wait for redbox
Sing, go especially if you have kids
The Magnificent 7 (the remake), worth the rental fee
Watching the Bucket List again for the first time since it was released in 2008, I had forgotten more than I remembered, good movie.

The wife wants to see La La Land. I'm usually not a musical movie kind of guy so I'm trying to get her to go with a buddy. Anyone seen this movie?

We saw Passenger a couple of weeks ago. From the commercials we thought action. The movie it was a drama with little action but good and very long.

Saw Hidden Figures with my son at his suggestion, well done. Hard to believe that just 60 or so years ago segregation was alive and well, actually legal in the U.S. Go with your kids especially if you have daughters.

@Julian how long are you going to be in Dallas?

My daughter and I saw Patriots Day Sunday before the Cowboys game. It was very good. We both liked it. Very surreal.
