Starting to get the 2018 all ready to go for the summer. So far I've had the impellers pitched, powder coated the horn grill, hand rails and fenders. I need to find time here in the next few weeks to have the wheels put on and take it to be tinted.

Super excited, is it summer yet?

@JetBoatPilot hooked it up with some Seadek for the corner steps and walk through. Must have would highly recommend getting those! (pics to come).

It's like Christmas, I also got hooked up on a Wake Foil from a friend and got a new Slingshot Gnarwhal.

Hand rails look nice but will be unusable in the sun. They'll get so hot they'll melt your hand.

Did Yamaha run the wires for the stereo like they did on the 2017 242X? Way under utilizes the sound bar. Adding an amp and wiring them up correctly was a huge improvement.

Is it mandatory that you get a new boat every other year as a Yamaha rep? ;)

What are the details on your impeller pitching? Who'd you have do it? What did you have them do? What results are you hoping for? I thought you went back to the stock impellers on your limited s?

@Williamsone46 Please report back on how you like the wake foil. I have a Liquid Force foil, similar but a little more aggressive. I'm thinking about switching to the Slingshot and getting a low speed wing.

Hopefully it'll keep people from touching them, tired of wiping hand prints off them.... :)

I ran stock impellers on my 2015 Limited S, but with the X being just that much heavier it needed them. I've had to pitch all my 242X boats. South Valley has them pitched by Impros, They use the 6CW impeller out of the 190 due to more overlap and pitch for the altitude. So far it's helped the bottom end and added about 700 rpm.

I haven't really dove into the stereo. In 2018 they come with all Wet Sounds and it sounds awesome, similar to my JL setup last year. I prob won't mess with it this year and just leave it as it sounds great from the factory.

I'll be darned. Never would have thought the 6CW (single 1.8 N/A) and 6AP (in 1.8 twins) were different design. Huh!!!

I may test this out. The 6CW might be perfect for PORT side which always spins a bit higher due to less loading. But this could also improve the overall surf-ablity when installed on both sides - under heavy ballast loads.
Wow.
Thanks for the info!

Wow. That is a sharp looking Yammie!

Your 2016 was not too shabby, either, lol. But this one just screams wake sports.
Will you be adding a mirror?

It comes with one, I just haven't put it on. Waiting for the tint to dry.
