OEM Plastic GPS Antenna Cover

@Bruce,
Well that was someone else photos< : ) I am out and about at the moment, I can take a picture of mine tomorrow.

For what it’s worth my modeling included covering the lip on the base. Assuming it doesn’t get scaled down any, .5mm in either direction shouldn’t be the end of the world. I did make sure the screws gripped properly into the posts without cracking them. Happy to answer and other modeling questions as well. A flat top would’ve been a great idea, I just went with recreating the OEM top and didn’t consider a different profile.

@Bruce how do you like the hemera btw? I had an aero and then switched to a BMG/mosquito on my new printer and it’s been way too finicky for my taste (less so recently). I prefer the aero to the 2 but the hemera was looking pretty tasty.

@svana the Hemera printed more than 40KG of filament before I needed to clean it. After cleaning it I am even more impressed.

I have a CR-10 Max (450x450) that was damaged in shipping sitting beside the CR-10S Pro. The Max is getting a Hemera and linear rails to replace damaged pieces as soon as the insurance process competes.

I am thinking that adding this rubber seal to the bottom will provide enough squish to tighten the screws without cracking the legs they screw into. I believe that was the issue with the factory part.

This one held water all night.

it looks great @Bruce, I can’t wait to install one of those. Quick question, is it possible to make mine with no logo/website on top, just flat smooth surface?

Would you prefer no logo or something like GPS?

My thinking is that it is less boring with something there.

To me plain is better. It doesn't get seen so i dont see the point

@Bruce Thanks for the offer. I would go plain if possible. Thanks!

I am headed to the lake but left two blank and two GPS versions printing.

This is the current collection.

I am ready to test one out!!! I can't wait!!

@Mdsmith000, Thanks @Neutron has mailed his bottom section which I should have in a few days. Additionally @Mainah provided pictures and measurements of the inside of the factory cover. The factory cover had an internal seal with an O-ring.

I want to receive Neutron's bottom section to verify fitment then I will start taking orders and shipping them out. I may revise the design to use an internal seal.

Here is a picture with no logo and GPS.

I just checked the tracking. Its in Little Rock as of this morning. So i am sure it will be at your door soon

This is @Neutron’s base in a new top. My thinking is that the best way to seal this is with the black external seal or if you do not like the look of the black seal apply a small amount of silicone to the inside of the top where it will create a seal between the base and cap. Both would be even better.

And this is @Neutron’s electronics in an entirely new housing.

Awesome job Bruce! I think the plain ones should be $40 and the Jetboaters.net $20! :winkingthumbsup"
