This is my last boating of the 2022 season for sure. With temps in the 90s my wife and I took the Waverunners to old Sacramento for lunch, at the crab shack.
on the way in after a day on the water... oh and that's a bow full of birthday beer... I also will make boat parts for beer.... MR-1's are running sweet even with two junk 135 jet pumps...
you can see the pump output here... the port side is working "normally" starboard output is weak just not drag i have to turn into the port engine just a tad to keep it straight....
Man that takes me back! Grew up down there. My dad was in the Navy for 35 years. My brothers took sailing lessons back in the day from that marina. My parents still live down there for some reason. They live off the new river way back in there past northeast creek park. Used to put the boat in at that park and go to the ICW and all about. Their neighborhood has a boat ramp not far from that park. Never put my boat in there as I don't think I'd make it under that bridge. Also to get anywhere would be a haul and definitely require a gas stop at some point.
Warmed up nicely later in the morning. It got warm enough that I considered going to just a swimsuit until the breeze came back up and a few clouds blocked the sun. That breeze coming off the 58° water cooled things down quickly!
Cooled off as night fell. No wind and glassy water made docking in the pitch dark easy..that and a handheld spot light.
