This show has been filming on our lake since last year. (Lake Allatoona, GA). They purchased one of the restaurants and surrounding properties to film. Been pretty fun to see all the changes to the property from the boat. Even though we were a restaurant down on the lake (wasn't very good anyway, but it was one of only three...:)), it was cool.

Looking forward to seeing some of our hangouts on tv this July. Very nice lake imo.

From the small section I saw I would say it's a very nice lake as well. I drove up there from FL to buy my boat.

It was fun to watch the "Little River Grill" transform into the "Blue Cat Lodge". The restaurant there over the years has had a very inconsistent run...it used to be an ok place to eat and a great place to drink beer but the last few years it has been the worst place on the planet.
One thing we miss is the outside bands playing on the weekends. We would motor over and drop anchor off the restaurant and hang out to listen to the bands play...
The filming did impact the lake traffic quite a bit at times. The studio evidently paid a lot of money to have DNR officers close the channel at Little River to boat traffic a couple days during the summer...people around here were PISSED OFF about that one. Surprisingly we have heard that the DNR officers were not very friendly during those days which is a surprise because they are usually very professional...although I can imagine the local boaters were none to polite...
We are based out of Victoria Marina so this didn't impact us much but Little River Marina would be completely blocked off from the rest of the lake....
It will be interesting to see our lake and the local spots "Hollywooded" into somewhere else....

I'm at Victoria as well. I dry stack currently, but have been weighing the pros and cons of getting a wet slip instead.

A couple years ago I got a call from the Little River Grill to give them a quote on renovations and painting. They were having some issues with the health department...imagine that. After the manager showed me around, I gave him my thoughts on what needed to be done. He was very appreciative and offered to buy me lunch. I somewhat jokingly said "No thanks. You realize I just walked through your kitchen right?" He was not amused. Ha!

Season 2 coming August 31.

Strange this popped up today, I watched Season 1 episode 1 last night...was good!

Cant wait for season two.... this show has made me jealous of the boating down there, would love to load up and visit one day!

Great show, looking forward to next season

Yep, really enjoyed season 1. Allatoona is my home lake too. I have seen several request for people with boats needed to be in the show but I never could make it work with my schedule. Would of been cool to be in the background flying a jetboaters.net flag lol.

Have you tried JD’s yet? Most people rave about it on the Allatoona Facebook page. I wetslip at Park Marina. Is drystack more?

This reminds me of may #1 favourite part of this show (and soon to be favourite drinking game)

Spotting Yamaha JBs in the background of the show, there are definitely been a few of them! :D

Love that show! Anxiously awaiting season 2. The explanation of the difference between hillbillies and red necks was awesome!

my favorite is the one that goes by them on the lake, with a V8 sound. :)

Great show ... will keep an eye out in Season Two for some Jetboats. I remember seeing a bunch of Propboats in Season One during the “water church” scenes.

I've been waiting for S2... will air Aug 31. Can't wait. You guys have inspired me to re-watch S1 in prep for S2!

I was all ready to plan a boatcation to Lake of the Ozarks until I saw it was Altoona on here. I'd have been pissed, lol.

Holy Crap.... me too...... even did some research.... I’m glad you posted, as the first comment I saw about Allatoona I had just assumed it was some component of Lake of the Ozarks

Well, Matt, I can sure say, that looks like a beautiful place to be!

yeah the only actual ozarks footage is in the early episodes, and Intro. driving into town... Osage beach I think.

we were a little bummed too. ;)
