After a day on the water, with carpets, we load them into the basement tile floor, semi wet-
12 hours later have the kids vacuum and role carpets in prep for next adventure.

If fresh water boating, no rinse.
If salt, fresh water rinse and hang, then same.

Basement has dehumidifier and box fan to keep air moving over them.

When carpet is destroyed, will move to SeaDeck, no doubt!

@Glen - our technique.... still in the bag from the dealer..never used. Snaps removed! We boat solely in salt water and just didn't want to deal with that mess. I find hosing off the floor much easier. IMHO

I have too many ladies in my life, and frankly enjoy too much carpet under bare feet, to not use.
We will use, abuse, then upgrade to durable, comfortable & easy solution.
I am the same way with my Jeep. I will consume (and sometimes break) the OEM equipment, before upgrading.

I'm looking into Seadek for the boat but that stuff gets friggin hot! We have it on the swim deck and unless it's wet it'll damn near burn your feet.

@Glen if you ever want to sell the carpet, let me know. Have a good day

If anyone needs a carpet set fitting current model 212x I have a full carpet set, gray, 1 season on it and in good condition. Make offer and pay shipping and it is yours. Please use PM not to derail this thread any further...

My post boating carpet technique is SeaDek...

I can't image my 242 carpets would fit your 192. What am I missing?

do nothing, get sick of carpet, get sea deck

upgrade to bigger boat first lol

I'm doing the same thing you are. It's a pain to pull it after wet outings, which is mostly all of them for me, but I fell like I might as well milk the carpet out while it lasts and then I'll upgrade. I also like the look and feel of the carpet, just not the maintenance.

I typically don't pull my carpets as they don't get all that wet, but when I do I hang them to dry in the garage. I installed some snaps on shelves that they just snap into and hang to dry. Usually dry by the next time out.

Just move on to SeaDek and pressure wash it or go to the car was occasionally.
