Spanish is even more complicated since all the Latin American countries have their own slang words. My wife is Puerto Rican (born in NYC) and we had a friend who was Mexican American. They were both talking one day and our friend just got quiet. Turns out the everyday Puerto Rican slang word my wife used, was a vulgar slang word for a woman’s genitalia to our friend! Lol ?
