The pen and cassette one is great!

I think the first music recording I ever had was an 8 track of Elton Johns greatest hits….

Crocodile Rock, Daniel, Rocket man.

Mine was the Turtles and Stevie Wonder, yikes?

I think my next purchase got a little better, America (Horse with no name), Bad Company (Bad Company) and Boston (Boston) and Aerosmith (Toys in the attic)

Right on lol! I went from that to Peter Frampton, Frampton comes alive (the greatest live album, and a double album at that) … I still love love love that album, used to always play it on Sunday mornings when I was camped out in the desert. The guitar solo in the song Do You Feel is one of the greatest of all time. Man it would have been awesome to have been at one of those concerts!

At 14 we had a CB radio in my dads car and an 8 track player. Who had one of these in their backseat?

My parents got a 72 Caddy (in 1974) with an eight track player and I hated the eight track player with a passion. I always hated when it changed tracks in the middle of a song. What a difference a couple of years later when I had my own car and purchased an undermount, removable, dual head cassette player. That was the way to listen to music!

I got the 8-track record player tuner combo, and my first car had an 8-track in-dash. The last 8-tracks I recall having to send off to Goodwill were Motley Crue's Shout at the devil, Bob & Doug Mckenzie, and Toys In The Attic. The very next week, I'm at that Goodwill and overhearing someone say "can you believe they even put this out on 8-track?!?" ??

Yeah kid, I can ?
