I took the family to the deer lease with me to do a little hunting. Bagged an old 8 point that had his horns all broken up from fighting. My son was very interested in the deer so I snapped a picture to memorialize his first hunting trip.

@John McLaughlin, love the pictures.

We are building our new home about 20 miles north of you, in Millsboro, DE. They were suppose to finish hanging our siding yesterday, but the snow intervened. Interesting, where we are currently living, just above the PA state line, we didn't received anything aside from a few flurries.

Found the leak(leaks) on the wood boiler. Roof has been leaking around the chimney for a while by the looks of it and rotted the top of the water jacket. Just finished up welding it together & getting another fire going in it. Think it’s about time to build another one before next winter comes around.

Tonight. You can see the shiny part of the Lake, Mallett's Bay and the outer bay are iced over. The dull color of the broad lake is open water. What divides the two, on the right is an old RR causeway between Colchester and So. Hero Is., now a beautiful bike path. There is a cut, to the right not seen, to allow boats thru, with a bike ferry to take bikers around the cut and onto the Islands.

A while back I had new tires installed at my buddies tire shop but one of my center caps on my wheels was either not reinstalled or came loose on the way home. My buddy has his shop try and find me replacement center caps but it turns out they were a smaller diameter and mine are apparently discontinued. You can see they don’t match in outside diameter or the clips….

So I got nowhere finding anything in the aftermarket for my specific dimensions I needed so I reverse engineered the damn things and 3D printed a replacement. Going to get a roll of chrome pin striping to make the bezel edge match and thankfully the Bravado center cap stickers fit like a champ. I will be glad to not be running around with rusty center capless wheels like I’ve been doing for months now lol.

Here’s the 3D printed replacement…..

Sticker has blue protective cover still on but looks great IMO and when I’m done I doubt anyone will know…

Out in the woods yesterday, tapping trees in the morning and skidding firewood in the afternoon. Note to self...Try to park the tractor above the tree instead of dragging the 10mm cable and choker chain 150' uphill in the snow.

A Cold start to the day in Paradise. The dog walk was short.

So what were you listening to on AM Radio?
Sports talk radio. After years of sitting in tractors, trucks and various other equipment, I learned to listen to just about anything. If you leave it on the same genre you will hear the same 3-4 songs every hour of every day. Get's tiresome real quick so I change it up occasionally.

Same here, I listen to talk radio all day until we get to the Boat Drinks. Then my wife plays the same Pandora list over and over. What ever keeps her happy. Talk radio can be the "same ol'e song" too at times.

Getting caught up on this thread and looking thru the camera roll.

I took this back on December 23. The lake was looking crazy as I drove down the hill towards work. I had to detour to the shoreline and drink in this rare mirror view. I'm not sure a picture could do it justice.

Happy New Year all! Let's make it better than the last.
