Somewhat struggling with trying to upload my first video to this site. Don't know why the YouTube quality is poorer than the original clip in Apple iMovie?

Anyway, caught these dolphins from our stateroom balcony the first day of our Alaskan cruise last month when we just north of Vancouver:

Mama Nature said it’s ok, but then she had to leave and Summer Jr. jumped him ?

In some places they are now considered a nuisance as they have taken over housing communities. I have seen gaggles of them on Cape Cod when I lasted visited

They sure do eat a lot of bugs! Lots of folks hunt them here, I see them around quite a bit though. There was a much bigger group of hens and pullets that came through a couple years back when the grasshoppers had their big hatch and they were going crazy eating all of them.

I had peacocks in the neighborhood where I used to live, you wanna talk about a nuisance! They’d get on your roof and peel the roof singles up looking for bugs…

Replaced the parking brake shoes on the 2500 today.

You‘d think these top hat pads wouldn’t wear out lol! how many miles on your 2500? Did you replace them because the parking brake wouldn’t hold and yiu were out of adjustment?

I was over at Keyhole reservoir last month and the ramp was steep at the top and the parking break wouldn’t hold the truck and boat, I’m going to have to see if there is an adjustment to get some more bite.

Pads were darn near wore out and I’d adjusted them a couple times after 116k miles. I use the parking brake multiple times daily and they shouldn’t really wear out but they do. Other than the basic maintenance and one exhaust manifold bolt that broke I haven’t had to do anything to this truck so parking brake shoes was no biggie.

I use my parking brake each time I park without fail…I’ve always done this with manual or automatic transmission vehicles, come to a stop, place transmission in neutral, set parking brake, let off brake pedal and let the parking brake take the load, apply main brake pedal, shift into Park, let off brake and shut down engine.

Thats awesome to see that your truck has given you great service / reliability!

So my daughter helped signing me up for a Sunday project. She spilled nail polish remover on our kitchen table and it ate straight through the varnish. A few 3 step down sanding and three coats of stain plus poly, didn’t come out to bad. Still in the drying process, but it will do.

I was sick for a week, but finally I'm back to my routine. I took this picture from the gym this morning. I have been staying in Envigado which is immediately south of Medellín. I really like it, more nature, quieter, and more residential. The temperature is different. Perfect weather and never need air conditioning. Just need to keep a sweatshirt in my car because at night it could be chilly. I met a woman on the plane back in June. Yesterday we drove in my car to a "pueblo" (a small town) and had pizza there. Nice curvy mountain roads and a very clean and beautiful pueblo called "Retiro". I have to remember to take pictures.

This is very cool. I am a nerd for old architecture and history, it definitely tells a story of where you have been and where you are going, things kids don't understand today. We have a Siemens Energy plant in Montreal that was recently acquired from Rolls-Royce Aerospace a few years ago. Since Rolls-Royce was such an integral part in Montreal for so many years, they made the building a national monument. So one side of the building still says Rolls-Royce, and the other side says Siemens Energy.

Is fall finally upon us? This week at least…..

After 20+ years of working with and writing contracts with an Aerospace and defense company in Israel, our offices and warehousing facilities are no more. Sad ending to a long standing relationship, however they are resilient and will relocate.
