A little frost on the pumpkin this morning! It’s actually colder, my hand warmed up the thermometer a bit, I think it’s around 22°

We've got our fire going too in the Lehigh Valley

Tool at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee last night. Saw them in 2019 and they were fantastic - another great performance this time around.

They had a one man band open for them called Steel Beans - the dude plays the guitar and drums at the same time. Craziest shit that I’ve ever seen.

Tool has a strict no photo/video policy but they allow everyone to get their phones out for the last song - happened to be Forty Six and 2 last night.

Cairo Egypt -they bombed the border when I was there. Hope this stabilizes soon.

I love all of that mass that the stove heats up!

Ya, there is a lot of mass around the stoves. Every stone was hand picked from piles, windrows and old foundations on the property.

Yes, there is a lot of mass in the center of the house , but the mass of the 2100+sf Radiant floor is what we use daily. We use a Central Boiler wood boiler or Bosch propane boiler to heat the floor.

FWIW, the Oak timber frame is from the property too.

Boating day 36 for this year… turned out to be a really nice fall day. A tad chilly this morning and when the wind blew but other wise a great day.. caught one laker, you can see roe falling out in the pic with my friend holding it, put her back and she took off with a vigor after a few mins of recovery, we were going to keep that one, the first I would have kept, but when the eggs started coming out I wanted to put her back to make more lake trout. My friend caught three species of trout today, brown, rainbow, and lake. Maybe one more day next week.. we shall see. We caught the laker on a Brads Cut Plug, so add another bait that works on lake trout! We had smelt in the cut plug, I’d like to get some tuna packed in oil or anchovies and try that in the plug. In case you don’t know, the cut plugs open up lengthwise and you put bait in there like fish so it trails the scent and the oils.

Thanks for using roe in a fishing sentence. Most people have no idea what that is. We (I) used to tie steelhead skein sacks for steelhead fishing in the rivers in Ohio in the winter.

Your heating systems are beyond awesome! And so is your house! The stoves and all that rock are awesome by themselves but having the wood gasification boiler with propane boiler as back up is just over the top.

A little love for our high school JROTC group that my daughter is in.

Seeing the pyramids and the Giza plateau is a bucket list item for me…. Just amazing stuff right there.

They did not - here's the setlist:

Invincible and Forty Six and 2 are in my top 5 Tool songs so the show ended with a bang for me. :-)

crazy thing, both cars were # matching, and probably worth 5x the purchase value now.

With the right leadership, JROTC is a great experience for the kids. This holds true even if they decide not to pursue ROTC in college or a career in the services.

Daughter now has a boy friend so she is reevaluating her next life decision. When asking said boyfriend of his life goals, it’s to follow said girlfriend. I self choose to cut all my hair off so I have nothing to pull out. What I can pull out is grey lol.
