Sticker-Less Boats. Post them here

Here is the first stage of graphic delete. All came off easily with a heat gun on low. Next step is to remove the oxidation on the hull and wax. I like the look already. That graphic really dated the boat, and were all dinged up from previous owners.20170415_141627.jpg 20170415_144822.jpg 20170415_151456.jpg

I posted this pic to a different tread. But I still think it's cool.

It looks like some of you have removed the "domed" 242 limited S emblems. Can you share how you took them off and any challenges that you encountered? I have taken emblems off of cars by lightly heating them and then using a monofilament fishing line to cut through the adhesive, I'm thinking that might work for those as well?

Stickers are gonzo

Wow it looks so much better without stickers20170817_171505.jpg

Trimmed the stripe above the rub rail to keep only the logitudinal portion and removed everything under the rub rail.

Took mine off the first week I had it. Looks cleaner and those stripes are very fragile so, if you don’t remove them you’ll be replacing them. 86A326A9-D8A2-4381-9D6C-27B8394EA6F3.jpeg

Here is my 2013 AR 192 I took off the side decals and replace the silver boring pin strip with a red one. Also changed the "supercharged" for red ones too. I think it looks more sporty which is the look I was looking for.

Mine only came with a small graphic on the bottom. I removed it the first day I got the boat.IMG_20200528_130530_01~3.jpg

De-stickered our new baby. Feels so good.

Dear Yamaha, if I want decals on a $75k boat, I’ll choose my own. Thank you.

When I removed my decals - I didn’t remove it because I didn’t like how it looked - I actually liked the graphics. I removed it because I thought the idea of decals was CHEAP. $58k boat with stickers didn’t sit right with me. None of my buddies boats have decals - they have graphics layed into their gel coats.
And at the end of the day - I think it looks classier.

2020 AR240 removed stickers the day after I brought it home. Not a fan of the 90s race car style decals.

thinking about doing this to my 2015 ar240 (blue/black). they've been on for almost 6 years, though. is it even possible you won't be able to see where they were once they are removed? has anyone removed decals this old?
