Nice install. Would you mind posting a follow up if you loose readings at speed? Mine is installed there, but with a thinner material. I loose bottom at 30mph. Not a big deal, but curious.
I sure will.. but it should read fine because the starboard is 1/2 inch thick and adapter bracket makes it another 5/8 to 3/4 lower and it makes it protrude below the hull as per lowrance instructions. As you can see from straight down the hull it is below just as it should 20210626_201352.jpg

I received an 8’ umbrella for Christmas. This weekend I modified the rear table mount. Nice to sit on the swim platform, be able to dangle the toes in the water and sit in some shade! It is not designed to be there while moving so it is quickly/easily/temporarily tied down so the wind wont launch it at the beach!

Well i can say i am a reverse cable replacement expert now. And will never buy aftermarket cables unless its a teleflex cable again. I have it down to 1/2 hour.
After installing and adjusting it i couldn't believe how much free play it had which i can only assume its from the housing of the cable being too loose allowing it to move around too much. I took it back out and reinstalled the original cable after freeing it up by putting some pb blaster down the bad end and putting a drill on it spinning it while working in in and out. Its very free now but will replace when my oem cables come from yamaha.

As far as replacing it all you do is undo it at both ends, then push it through the transom and stick it up through the clean out tray pop up access.
Tape the new one to it overlapping the ends to each other. Remove the gas tank cover(because there is one zip tie there) then pull it through it will slide relatively easily. No need to figure out where it goes. It will be in its factory position.

Of course there was crappy installed silicone around the cable where the through hull fitting was

Finally got my Garmin uhd 73sv installed this weekend. Took a while figuring out where to mount this thing cause I hate drilling holes in expensive things. Also like to keep things as factory looking as possible which led me to the cup holder location. I gotta credit @HangOutdoors for that spot but then I still like the chrome ring so I strengthened up the cup holder and mounted my base slightly above the bottom to maintain drain ability. Made a little bracket on the backside to help keep it all stable. Turned out pretty clean. Also thanks @WiskyDan for the ram mount part numbers.

It was actually yesterday, but I installed my Cobra EZ Locks. I found a used set on eBay. DON'T Search "Cobra Lock" on eBay if you might be offended by a male chastity belt/device.

The install was pretty easy. The Cobra Video online is pretty low quality. But once you have the parts in your hand it is pretty self-explanatory. Both of my plugs were full of water. I don't see a way to prevent that. The rubber gasket on the mainspring doesn't appear to actually seal. I cleaned them up and drained the water. I also noticed that the hose clamps on the tube were loose. I assume those should be tight and near the top of the tubes.

Non-Potato Video:

Wired in a bilge alarm. Removed the clean out tray and installed a float switch mounted on an aluminum bracket I made, mounted to OE plywood in bilge. Wired it to a switch mounted next to the horn that goes to a backup alarm (102db) mounted inside the helm. Put it on a switch to silence the alarm if needed, figure I’ll be stressed enough if it goes off, don’t need it to keep beeping as I’m figuring things out. Had a slight wiring hiccup but with the help of a couple forum wizards the issue was resolved.
Found out my bilge alarm works on the open water. While on our way to Bimini conditions we’re rough. Occasionally I would hear a beep or beeping & it sounded like it was the VHF radio. Nope, it was from sending it over large waves would pop the float up triggering the backup/bilge alarm. Very thankful at this point that I put a switch in to kill the beeping.

That is awesome! I have that pump isn't it a 110volt pump? Are you running an inverter?

Thanks, it is the Airhead AHP-12HP. 28 Amps of 12 volt pumping. I bought it June 12, 2012. It has been dropped in the water several times while running. Even into salt water once.

I had planned to create the parts and make this mod last year but did not get around to it until this week. I think it will be really nice not needing to move the pump. Just plug in the hose and go.

A 60 amp relay in the box mounted to the pump controls power to it. The small switch trips the relay.

Not today but this week. Registration numbers applied, Boat Buckles, Big Air flag pole holder and board racks installed.

Added a second battery with ACR and a house power bus bar, seen below before the new battery was secured. Also replaced the stock speakers with some Kickers I found on the cheap.

Added the aft SeaDek kit on Friday.

I still have the chocolate-over-black Marine Mat on the swim deck and bow anchor locker which I will replace when we have the end of summer group buy.

In the gloaming, one template done, if I can figure out how to deal with the SeaDek material, I may be able to get it cut tonight, and install it tomorrow before the rain starts. If it's too much of a PITA, I'll have to put off cutting it until the wife character can give me a hand.

Well my replacement oem gps antenna crapped out today. Had no speedo or any gps reading, and of course i forgot my simrad at home. Lol
But thanks to @Bruce i installed my original one that he rebuilt for me with the jetboaters.net logo on it and we are back and running! Woohoo
I cant believe the replacement one i bought only lasted 1.5 years and quit suddenly

Ran my MR-1s for 97+ seconds without hose water to keep insuring a dry cooling system. No overheat warnings.
