Toy making in progress...squirt gun to end all...(jet pump squirt gun)

Julian, Keeping my fingers crossed, but I think you'll get some really good distance. I was getting about 30 feet maybe out of 1" open hose with no reduction, just straight flow. If it was me, I would take a 1/2, a 3/8, and a 1/4" nozzle and play with it. I would even suggest putting a ball valve in line to create some fire control.

@trace also recommended I replace the metal hose clamps with zip ties. I was planning on wrapping them in duct tape to eliminate the sharp edges....not sure a zip tie would hold as well as these clamps will, and those points are the primary failure points under pressure.

Now I can't wait to see this on video!!

I switched all mine to zip ties, because I literally did cut my hand on one of the worm clamps on the first outing, if it fails, it's outside the boat and it's just water. Heat the hose up good so it's soft then draw down a couple of zip ties for all your worth on the barbs. It wont' go anywhere.

Julian, any updates?

Sorry, won't have an update until next weekend as had a Y-Guides camping trip to Camp Seagull this weekend. No boating....(ok...we took a canoe out).

That's just cold man.....

Just kidding, hope you had a blast!

I'll get video for sure....even if its an epic fail....it should be amusing! But unfortunately it won't be for a couple of weeks as next weekend we have spring outing with the Y-Guides at Seagull/Seafarer.....unless I figure out how to skip out early this week...but weather looks like a lot of rain!
I warned ya you'd have too wait for the testing....trust me....I'm as curious to see how this is going to work!!!

Subscribed. Looking forward to the outcome on this. . . . . You will have to get this on a GoPro POV Cam

Y-Guides, eh? I was a little indian when I was a kid, and they were still called the Y-Indian Guides. Still have my feathers and vest...

Where's the video evidence of this bad boy in action?

My f'ing job is interfering with my boating!

Ugh. Luckily, I wouldn't know much about that. . . . My nemisis is the weather.

90 here yesterday and today....and I'm looking out my office window at it....with back to back meetings until 5pm...and the emails keep coming....but I shouldn't lie...I love my job....just wish I was better at balancing work and boating (and swim team, Y-Guides, etc)

Stop posting and maybe you'll get your work done faster to make more boating time. . . . . . Just sayin
