I took some shitty videos of the test drive, Julian linked em above/last page/somewhere.
I'll echo many of the sentiments already stated. It isn't really quiet. The tower does rattle. Lots of water washing up, lots of spray. And, it honestly didn't seem to ride any better than a 242 - I'm glad it was pretty choppy today to get a good feel for it. The head door/handle/hinges were really nice I thought. And it really was quite spacious in the cockpit, far more than the pics lead on. The aft grab handles were nice as well. Otherwise, nothing really stood out except drive. Once you engage drive via connext, the steering motion is mechanically limited to about 60 degrees or so either direction. Tap L/S paddle once for reverse, and up to 2 more times to up the RPM's like no wake mode. Vice versa for the R/S paddle. The trailer was really nice too, but it doesn't come with, heh.
We took quite a few boats out today, including a 100K 28' Dusky with twin 200's. That thing would not only plane, but hit 40mph on one engine and we were talking normally the whole time. I'd take the Dusky all day long over this, not to mention run circles around it and actually stay dry.
The Aquila 30 they debuted this week was just incredibly sexy. The new Cigarette was bonkers. Worldcat 400DC. So many cool boats. If you didn't go to the show to specifically see this yamaha, you didn't see it. It's a nice boat, but it's not 130K nice, and it certainly didn't stand out in the crowd here.
