2022 Yamaha Boat Updates

I cant find anything in print that says that the 252's have solar panels anymore. Everything clearly states that the 255's do, but nothing on the 252's and I cant see anything in pictures. It definitely appears like the 252 models are not getting them but we'll wait and see.
This is the only thing I see but as usual yamaha's site contradicts itself

212s Suede Gray model image (#1) shows a white tower but brochure images (#2) show a gray tower, any thoughts on which is accurate?

Heard from Yamaha on this....

"confirmed that is an error on the profile picture, and we will be changing. 212S, 212SE, 212SD – The White boat has a White tower. The Suede Gray boat has a Carbon tower."

Well, if $4k is on the high side for for freight, prep and doc fees, you should see the prices my dealer is trying to charge me in Idaho:

Freight: $1950
Dealer Prep: $5500
Docs: $94
Title:$14

Total: $7558 on top of MSRP of $85,299 for a 252SE

Am I crazy or is this just price gouging?
I got a quote yesterday on a 252SE For 96,355 OTD.

Does ~$70K sound right for a 212s? That includes freight, dealer prep, documents fee, sales tax, title fee, and registration fee.

Freight, prep and doc fee alone is 4K
Where are you located?

How far are you willing to drive to save money?

I’m wondering if dealers are indicating if they’ll be sold out by spring or if they’ll still get boats in after spring. Are they still charging a lot in freight and prep?
The few I've seen posted on facebook were $1200-1500 in freight and prep. One guy posted a sheet that showed $1500 freight and prep plus $400ish in document fees.

sorry if this is an ignorant question, but do the Yamaha boats come with a cover?
The dealer should give you the big white shipping cover that it was delivered with. That works if you absolutely need it, but it's not one you want to be dealing with on a regular basis because it's bulky and heavy.

Yamaha makes two options for sale, a full size mooring cover and a 2 piece snap-in cover (snaps would need to be added to your boat if you go this route). Pre-Covid days, you could often get the dealer to throw one of these in for free, especially as part of a boat show special or something. You could often get them to throw in an extended warranty, too. These days, there's not a whole lot of freebies going around so most likely you'll have to pay for a cover if you want one (~$1000).

what is your sales tax. OTD is apples to oranges b/c we all have different tax rates. Mine is 6.5%. The OTD for ours is $98,425. Can't do anything about the taxes. Be curious what your tax rate is. Thanks

6.25%. I didn't see quote on paper. I'm sure it'll go up after they get me in the door.

Now lets see how much they gouge me for on the accessories.

Surprised by the lack of chatter on the 2022 line up.
Figured there would be a flood of interest on it.
The 2022 line up is pretty much what i expected, not much change.
I gotta say that the ar250 lacks a lot of frills and finnish for 66k. And then the jump to the 242s is 81k
Man I love my boat more and more every day. And its just about paid off
No chatter because we all moved all on real wake boat websites shopping, especially with this price increase..haha

In 2016 mine got thrown in as a boat show special...not sure what we'll see this year at the shows.

I think the reason we don't see much chatter is that a lot of us are on the Moomba site building our next boat after the let down...LOL

My next boat may be a Super Air Nautique or a nice Surf boat from someone else as my whole family loves surfing. And it would be SO nice to just push a button for a huge surf wave and not need to deal with extra bags. We do love the swim platform of Yamahas and the jet engines and easy maintenance though!

What did they charge in recent years past? That sounds like outrageous gouging. Roughly $3000 in my area. Do you know anyone else that is planning to buy? It f they are not charging the same set of fees to other buyers that would be unethical. I wonder if Yamaha would have something to say about it?
