you're being lied to.. there is no vaccine.. its an inhibitor.. not a vaccine.. that's why many are still pushing for masks for those that have taken the inhibitor.. if you had gotten a vaccine there is absolutely no way you would need to wear a mask because there is no way that you would spread it.. wake up people.. stay free America!!

a vaccine prevents one from getting the virus and therefore you do not spread it.. an inhibitor simply reduces the virus' affect / impact of severity.. do not believe the hype.. there is no vaccine yet.. stay free America!!
Huh?

You feel the need to misrepresent members and twist their words, You lose credibility with every response like this. Perhaps its time to step down. Could this be the beginning of the end for this site.
No, he does not lose credibility.

Your second last comment, by the way, is so completely uncalled for, WTF?

It is certainly not the beginning of the end for this site, but this thread borough up some surprises.

I too have learned a lot from this thread. It's amazing the knowledge members have shared to try to keep the facts, not theories, from being twisted. I commend them as I would not be so kind. I don't have patience for ignorance/stupidity. Many members have tried and instead of being kicked off/banded from the site, they are aloud to push their thoughts/comments only to be given more facts to help align to a single purpose.

I was asked why so many 👎. It's sad, that after so many people have died ~650,000 have died, we have not banded together to eradicate this fuckin decease. What will it take??? Another 650,000???? How about your daughter or son, wife? Would that help? Would you then start to think differently? Seems people would rather learn from the "school of hard knocks" rather than those who went to school.

Believe it or not, we are all in this together.

I read a private message by our family friend, a long time family practitioner, a neurologist by subspecialty, living and practicing in one of the midwestern states. He was my wife's former high school swim team member in Tulsa, OK, she said this is the first time ever she had seen him post anything about covid.

I find it poignant; do we still belong in so called "developed world"? I'm honestly not sure.

This is his post:
"This information is too preposterous not to share. This is the kind of shit the medical profession has to deal with: My home town ER #1 reason for an ER visit last week - Covid 19 (no surprise and has been the case for 2 months now), but the new #2 reason for an ER visit----- Ivermectin overdose! I just wish I was kidding "

@hacknslash You remind me of a saying I have posted here somewhere under favorite sayings or something like that and honestly I cannot remember where I heard it but applies here. Don't feel bad, you're not alone. :winkingthumbsup" "It's better to be thought of as a fool, than to open your mouth and prove it."

Apparently my aunt in Florida of all places already received her 3rd booster shot last week and isn’t having any issues.
She has immune system problems so I guess they must already doing it for people like that. I was surprised to hear it.
I told my father in law about my aunt tonight & he said he’s also received the 3rd booster here in Arizona about a week ago. Also has existing health problems. He hasn’t had any issues with any of the 3 shots.

Yes, booster shots have been approved for immuno compromised people. Word is they will approved for everyone possibly towards the end of the month.

It’s quite easy to ignore the content of a member once you have determined that their posts are no longer worth the time it takes to read or respond to. It seems like I will be doing this a few more times in the near future. It’s not my first reaction but my last. “Some people” will argue to their death that the earth is flat despite all the evidence to the contrary. “Some people” just like to fight no matter what the topic. I know/knew a few litigators like this.

back to the subject of the post, I just saw a local news story about two SF Bay Area kids (bother and sister, 11 and 7, respectively as I recall) that are some of the first in the nation if not world to participate in a vaccination trial for kids under 12 years old, in collaboration with Stanford hospital and one of the companies that produces a two dose vaccine. The older kid had chills and was tired for a few days but is otherwise fine. they didn’t say anything about the younger child but she was playing nearby when her bother made an on camera statement. Their mother is an ICU nurse with over a decade on the job. The kids were asked several times throughout the trial If they wanted to continue in the trial. The older kid said he thought it was cool to be first on something that, “could save the world”, as I recall. I’m glad it has worked Out for him/them someone had to go first.

On the home front, my wife’s uncle has been having vision problems and vertigo. His MD said come in for an in person exam ASAP and that he must either show up with a completed vaccine card or a negative test result less than 72 hours old. I told him / highly recommend that he at least get tested so his MD would see him in person, his response, “I’m afraid the government will stick nanotechnology in me through the test swab so I don’t want to get tested either.” Yeah, he would rather risk deterioration, possibly loss, of his vision than have q tip stuck up his nose. I’m proud to say that we are not related by blood.

for those of you all so blinded by the lies..

Fact #1..
vac·cine| vakˈsēn | noun
a substance used to stimulate the production of antibodies and provide immunity against one or several diseases, prepared from the causative agent of a disease, its products, or a synthetic substitute, treated to act as an antigen without inducing the disease:

Fact #2.. there is no covid vaccine.. there is only an inhibitor.. you can still get,, be impacted and transmit the virus with an inhibitor.. that's why the "sheep" are being told to get 2 & 3 shots.. it's only an inhibitor.. wake up America!!

@CycoRyder, do you have any intention here other than posting disinformation? At this point your account looks quite spammy.

Spam, bot, troll, or ignorant beyond hope. So best to ignore and not engage, in my opinion.

Interesting approach...use poor definitions of the word vaccine in an attempt to cherry pick what supports your absurd "fact" that there is no vaccine for covid (or by extension....ANY disease). Since your sources are wrong, you are propagating disinformation. And no, that doesn't mean I'm blinded, it means I understand what a vaccine is. Here is a complete definition of a vaccine for you. This definition is accurate and factual. Im also pretty sure you know you are propagating disinformation....but I am genuinely curious if you honestly think every vaccine must make you "immune".

vac·cine | \ vak-ˈsēn , ˈvak-ˌsēn \
plural vaccines
Definition of vaccine

1: a preparation that is administered (as by injection) to stimulate the body's immune response against a specific infectious agent or disease: such as
a: an antigenic preparation of a typically inactivated or attenuated (see ATTENUATED sense 2) pathogenic agent (such as a bacterium or virus) or one of its components or products (such as a protein or toxin)a trivalent influenza vaccineoral polio vaccineMany vaccines are made from the virus itself, either weakened or killed, which will induce antibodies to bind and kill a live virus. Measles vaccines are just that, weakened (or attenuated) measles viruses.— Ann Finkbeiner et al.… a tetanus toxoid-containing vaccine might be recommended for wound management in a pregnant woman if [greater than or equal to] 5 years have elapsed … .— Mark Sawyer et al.In addition the subunit used in a vaccine must be carefully chosen, because not all components of a pathogen represent beneficial immunological targets.— Thomas J. Matthews and Dani P. Bolognesi
b: a preparation of genetic material (such as a strand of synthesized messenger RNA) that is used by the cells of the body to produce an antigenic substance (such as a fragment of virus spike protein)… Moderna's coronavirus vaccine … works by injecting a small piece of mRNA from the coronavirus that codes for the virus' spike protein. … mRNA vaccine spurs the body to produce the spike protein internally. That, in turn, triggers an immune response.— Susie Neilson et al.The revolutionary messenger RNA vaccines that are now available have been over a decade in development. … Messenger RNA enters the cell cytoplasm and produces protein from the spike of the Covid-19 virus.— Thomas F. CozzaViral vector vaccines, another recent type of vaccine, are similar to DNA and RNA vaccines, but the virus's genetic information is housed in an attenuated virus (unrelated to the disease-causing virus) that helps to promote host cell fusion and entry.— Priya Kaur
NOTE: Vaccines may contain adjuvants (such as aluminum hydroxide) designed to enhance the strength and duration of the body's immune response.
2: a preparation or immunotherapy that is used to stimulate the body's immune response against noninfectious substances, agents, or diseasesThe U.S. Army is also testing a ricin vaccine and has reported success in mice.— Sue Goetinck Ambrose… many of the most promising new cancer vaccines use dendritic cells to train the immune system to recognize tumor cells.— Patrick Barry

I mean no disrespect, but repeating a nonsensical statement does not make it true.

The Merriam-Webster Medical Dictionary is a well respected medical dictionary. They note:

"Definition of vaccine

1 : a preparation that is administered (as by injection) to stimulate the body's immune response against a specific infectious agent or disease

2 : a preparation or immunotherapy that is used to stimulate the body's immune response against noninfectious substances, agents, or diseases"

The Food & Drug Administration (FDA) is responsible for the licensing of vaccines in the United States. Quite honestly, they are vaccines if they fall into the FDA’s regulatory definition of a vaccine. Here is a snippet from the FDA’s website, Vaccine Development – 101, if you want to actually learn about vaccines this is a good place to start as it is written in layman terms:

"How Vaccines Work

Vaccines work by mimicking the infectious bacteria or viruses that cause disease. Vaccination stimulates the body’s immune system to build up defenses against the infectious bacteria or virus (organism) without causing the disease. The parts of the infectious organism that the immune system recognizes are foreign to the body and are called antigens. Vaccination exposes the body to these antigens.

Some vaccines contain weakened versions of a bacteria or virus, other vaccines contain only part of the bacteria or virus. Some vaccines contain only the genetic material for
a specific protein and direct the body to produce a small amount of that protein. The body’s immune system reacts defensively once it detects this protein.

After vaccination, the immune system is prepared to respond quickly and forcefully when the body encounters the real disease-causing organism."

@CycoRyder, You do realize if you apply your criteria to all the other vaccines administered today for viral infections (FLU included, which is also widely accepted as a vaccine), many will not meet your criteria for vaccine? (measles come to mind, I got it after being vaccinated, but a very gentle/light version) Most vaccines provide SOME varying protection, but still have breakthrough infections.

Regardless of the naming you choose to use, I humbly share this article with you. It does not require great faith in anyone in particular, just observation of recent results to encourage you to take the inhibitor as you call it.

Based on Hospital Deaths in Texas, and the fact we have seen minimal side effects on the 150,000,000+ that have taken the inhibitor so far in the US alone... Why would you not chose the thing that makes it much less likely that you and I will die of this disease? Or that makes me much more unlikely to get sick enough to need the hospital, so others with medical conditions that normally occur can go and use that hospital bed I might have taken away if I was deathly sick?

Honest question, no judgement on my part. Genuinely interested in your feedback.
