I know the June group will get glass water and everything, but you might want to get prepared in case your captain has to be stupid.
My wife will kill me for posting this, but ff you are a newbie this might be useful for you, especially if young kids are on-board.
Objective: Show how an armature crew can go from good times to panic in a matter of a second.
What happened: we were playing boat soccer and in order for me to hit to ball a low as possible, I had my trim tabs 100% deployed, so to lower the bow. During a hard stbd it was all funny games, during a hard port the family went flying.
Thinks to look for:
1: once a someone cries, everyone oboard starts crying. You might want to keep that in mind. Panic spread faster than the fastest virus.
2: while
@Rick215HO approach to make sure we are okay he put a wake out, and made a screwed 6 year to freak out even more.
3: notice how communication is difficult and we are on idle.
Thinks to remember before and while crossing :
1: During the crossing none will be doing donuts, but it is likely that a crew member will fly of his/her seat (happened in 2017).
2: While in the stream you will not be able to stop. If you stop, you will take water. Can you imagine the panic in the boat had we been taking water while my kids and wife were recovering!!!!
3: Communication on the stream and under full 6000 RPM will be significantly worse.
PS. I am starting to think that God led me to this forum, so I can be an example of what NOT to do while in a jet boat
