Bimini 2014-June 22

Uggggg. 2 weeks before last years trip my dodge tranny crapped out...

My AC blower bought the farm yesterday!! Need to ebay a new controller!! Quick ship!!!

3 New trailer tires today.
2 Bottles of hot sauce !!!!!

Man that sucks!!! I'm seeing the same type of luck! - Just found out that I'm running the wrong spark plugs!

Are you almost ready otherwise?

I was thinking of you as I dropped my truck off for a solenoid body replacement this morning.

So far this year I have been lucky, no truck issues but I probably just jinxed myself. Last year about 2 weeks before we left the rear end front seal went out. Luckily it was a cheap fix but did take me about 6 hours to get the parts and do the replacement, the last 2 weeks before the trip it seems time is the most valuable commodity.

I am feeling good about prep right now. Sorry for the troubles of the others... Need to start shopping and gathering up piles, my wife is going to love that!! Counting down...

Darn it we are going to be there a little late. Right now the Hooter girls are in Bimini sitting atop the Sapona. This year I am going to have to climb up there and jump off.

Just made my reservation for a slip for the 22nd with the Bahai Mar Beach Resort and Yachting Center. Their number is 800 755 9558 just in case I am not the last to make reservations.

Thanks just made mine. Almost forgot about this

Nom nom nom. I tried to climb it last year. Thankfully no cameras were around to witness that walrus event!!!

There is a gawd aweful punji stick of a rusted spear at the base of the rope ladder. Kinda a buzz kill!!

4 new radial tires just installed. Now to tackle the siezed bolts!

I'm getting nervous watching the water conditions. Right around 2' for the last weeks and predicted the next few days. Hope like hell those conditions carry on!

I have been watching the water conditions as well. Can't wait until we see the 23rd in the seven day forecast.

http://www.sailflow.com/map#25.948,-79.329,10,1 is showing calm waters now with the wind and waves picking up to 17mph and 3 feet by the 15th then dropping off a little on the 16th.

What are you guys doing about dry storage for the crossing? We ordered a couple of dry bags for our clothes for the crossing - Dry Bags for Yamaha SX230 / AR230 Ski Locker.

@Bruce I put my luggage as is in the head compartment. Anything under the seat that I am concerned with it getting wet I use the hi-tech method of large garbage bags. So far I have never had anything get wet. Even with last years 3' to 5' wave the inside of the boat stays very dry.

@andy07sx230ho, I like your plan. With two small kids we will be packing pretty heavy. So I figured that if we got the clothes which can be washed if they get wet below deck the other necessities will have a better chance above deck.
