Bimini July 1-8 2019 - Others welcome to join us - This trip is ON!

So what 19 footers are with you?

I assume (from what I have read) An AR195 will need to refuel regardless of the waves?
Not necessarily, if the weather is amazing and flat and no issues with weeds and holding the RPM steady below the boost induction - those 192s/195s can make it all the way without refueling, easily.

That’s a big IF though!

I would carry 10gal.

Appreciate the updates @Julian, gives the next wave leaving next eeek some expectation management. Maybe you guys can give them a hand to get it fixed before our arrival.

While at honeymoon harbor the power was on and off 50/50. We heard on the radio it went off around 730pm and was off until around 10pm. Then went out again at midnight and came on again sometime in the middle of the night. Was totally bearable, you just have to take advantage of it when its on!

Now the fun stuff......

This idiot (me) got bitten by the nurse shark we called butt face (his mouth is damaged)....I wasn't moving fast enough and it was the biggest shark there so it moved WAY faster than I expected and grabbed the squid and two of my fingers. I'll post photos later.

HH was fantastic as usual!

Snorkeled the Sapona. Then went fishing. Caught one small tuna and a huge barracuda that self released at the boat....we were discussing afterwards what the heck we would have done with it if it hadn't flipped off the hook....it was big.20190702_184653.jpg20190702_143728.jpg20190701_200041.jpg

No pic, never happened!!!

Awesome pics, @Julian.
You're quite a shark whisperer, aren't you? lol

wow, Sapona is getting smaller...

@Julian we will have to compare shark bite pictures. It may help to determine if mine was the nurse or the lemon.

I've got 4 nice holes on 2 fingers....such a bone head move.....he/she came right at me....I should have just released the squid at that angle....live and learn!

Mine were long striations cut by sharp teeth. That is what led me to believe that it was the lemon and not the nurse that got me. I was looking away at the time. Entirely my fault.

Did you clean the wounds well? I let mine bleed for a while then rinsed with rum on the boat and anti bacterial soap in the condo. The daily saline baths that followed were a bit unpleasant but likely helped to heal the wound. I only have a small scar left to show for it.

Now that I have a set of bite marks to match, lol, I've seen mine, @Julian s and these pictures from @Bruce I would definitely say nurse shark got all three of us. Their teeth are longer and sharper than I ever thought. The one we've named Butt-head isn't the one that got me, but it was one of the larger ones that did. Live and learn, right?

@Julian, I am claiming that my bite is better than yours but you are currently in Bimini so you win!
