Bimini Resorts world

Is there hope for Bimini?

Feb 6th review of Resorts World on Trip Advisor:

*HONEST REVIEW during off-season* 7 days/6 nights (Super-Bowl weekend). Two couples in our late 30’s... I’ll avoid getting into the weeds of negativity because other reviewers have already addressed certain concerns: - Yes, the resort has a built in 18% gratuity PLUS 12% government tax on food/beverage. This adds up quick but we knew ahead of time... - Yes, the hotel only has a couple bars open during the weekdays and yes they close around 6pm. Lobby bar & casino bar opens at 5pm though. - Yes, the ATMs are a joke (12% fee) and were down half the time Now to debunk other negative reviewers...If you go in with realistic expectations, Bimini is truly an amazing island! The same can be said about the Hilton World Resort. It’s a beautiful and well maintained property. Typical of any resort, outside of the gates, the “real landscape” of the island isn’t as stunning. The islanders aren’t blessed with significant wealth so don’t expect a 5 star resort feeling throughout the island. Instead expect a real bohemian island feel where golf-carting is king! According to locals, Bimini comes to life during peak season (March-September), but “weekdays” during off-season offers something entirely different. We knew going in that certain amenities (inside and out) would be closed but what we found exceeded our expectations. Although the resort’s amenities were limited, GET A GOLF CART and explore the island. 60% of our food/drink were at local joints. Majority of what you’ll digest is fried but wow, it’s great! Coming from a foodie, you’ll enjoy every meal consumed! The beaches are stunning and the locals are equally great. The staff inside & outside the resort are a joy to interact with and elevated our experience! Nightlife is very limited but there are definitely a few spots worth checking out. The on-site casino is fun and entertaining (if you’re winning). Due to being a Hilton Diamond member, we were upgraded to a “walk out suite” via Paul at the front desk. Room 103 was unbelievable! Some of the more notable staff who went out of their way to make our trip more memorable was Paul, Kurt, TaShawn, D’Angelo, James & Ethan. All in all, we had an incredible time! Definitely visit Luna Beach, Radio Beach, Dolphin House, Stuart’s, Edith’s, CJ’s, Island House and Sharkie’s! Other popular attractions were closed during our visit. I can’t imagine experiencing Bimini during peak season and we will absolutely be back!
