Dang that picture brings back memories. I have twin boys who are now 40 but one of them was that size and asked me if he could use my lawn mower to cut lawns in the neighborhood. I said no , and explained to him that being his size he would be in a dangerous position if he got too close to the deck with his feet should the mower get stuck while he was pushing it.
Surprisingly he did not argue with me , then one day shortly thereafter I saw him mowing lawns and asked him why he was doing it after I told him not to and where did he get the lawn mower.
He replied that he rented it from one of his friends fathers in the neighborhood. I realized he had inherited my refusal to abandon my ideas so I decided to custom build him a mower with a lower handle making it as safe as possible and after that I built him a riding mower and a trailer to tow behind it to load all his equipment and a shed to keep them all in .
He made a lot of money and people were constantly calling for him to come and mow their lawn. He did this for many years.
So that picture is one of my favorites.
