Lolz! I leave for a little bit and my thread blows up! Hahahaha.
First of all THANKS to all of you guys. I really appreciate the kind comments. It's not why I do these things, I do them for myself and the enjoyment of my friends and family, not for notoriety or pats on the back. I simply like to make whatever I have work at it's best, whatever that means for whatever it is. This is just the evolution of me as a little kid modding my Aurora slot cars, Cox .049 planes or taking the muffler off my Honda 50 when I was 10 to see if it went faster. lol. It didn't. It did kind of make it sound like a Harley which I thought was cool. Except for the flames that would shoot out the pipe under the bike that could have started our property on fire, that part wasn't so smart.
The other side of it all is that I've always felt that if I didn't share what I learn, it's worthless. Everything I'd learn or experience would live and die with me, that always seemed like a stupid thing to do. I thank my dad for that, he was incredibly talented and tried to teach me everything he knew constantly. His father, also incredibly talented, did the same for my dad. So that's why I'm on here posting all these pics, simply to share and encourage others to expand their talents and enjoyment of their "stuff" a little more.
Blah blah blah. lol. Ok so I'll go in my amazon orders and copy/paste a bunch of parts I've bought for the exhaust specifically. It's a mod that's a little difficult, but not outside the realm of doable for most of you guys. Those Moroso mufflers happen to be 3", which makes them easy to graft into our exhaust systems since the hoses are also all 3". Yes, I put the stock resonators back in, I recommend keeping them in or possibly even adding them in your boat if it didn't come with them. For those of you with the older boats that don't have the plastic resonators, I'd get those before I'd do the Moroso's actually. Google Hemholtz Resonator, that's basically what they are. They're a good thing for noise control, and they're specific to a particular frequency so it's possible to eliminate 90% of exhaust noise at a certain rpm with the right sized resonator.
So yes, I have both the stock resonators AND the Moroso's in each side of my exhaust. And yes, whoever (Zipper. Good eye!) keenly noticed that I switched the outlet sides was right, I did. It was much easier and more direct to have the starboard engine exhaust out to the port outlet and vice-versa the other side. That way you don't have to make the exhaust hoses go around in a circle on the starboard side of the boat. It doesn't make any difference, it's just where it comes out of the back of the boat that's different. And as far as making any more of those outlets, I'm sorry but I'm so freakin' busy I can hardly take care of my own projects! I woke up this morning to no hot water, so today I get to fix or replace my hot water heater in our house. ugh.
