I wouldn't put an in-floor firepit on my boat, but I'd sure love to have a friend who did, lol. We did get one of those little table top solo stoves for Christmas, and I'm hardpressed to find a reason why I shouldn't bring it on the boat and put it on the stern table - no more dangerous than the grill I put there (which routinely catches fire), and I could knock it right off into the drink if I had to.
Not what I saw in person, but saw watched this on YouTube during lunch. Fast forward to 25:00.
R.I.P fibergalss.....
How well does that thing work? Do you have to constantly feed it wood scraps?I wouldn't put an in-floor firepit on my boat, but I'd sure love to have a friend who did, lol. It is propane. How well does that thing work? Do you have to constantly feed it wood scraps?
During a Coast Guard Auxiliary courtesy inspection, it was pointed out that propane is heavier than air and a venting propane container may dump propane into the bilge (that boat was equipped with an alcohol stove that never got used.).
Now I put green bottles in the anchor locker which has a low point drain.

Works quite well, throws off more heat than I expected - now we want to get a big one ?. We run ours on pellets, so just sprinkle some in here or there, just need to be careful not to smother.
