Waiting on Irma....

me and my crew are enroute down to you guys now. PLease do us a favor and if you plan on running a generator, shut your main breaker off on your house if you didnt have it installed with a transfer switch. by not doing this, you are back feeding the line and potentially killing any one working to restore your power

Also make sure the exhaust doesn't come into your home!

@CraigAR good luck to you as well. you guys are freaking me out :nailbiting:

That makes 4 in a row....Suck it Auburn!

And proud of Big Number 50, my brother's kid who kicked some Auburn ass tonite.

My sister in law is dispatch and her boyfriend a sherrif in Florida. I forget where other than it was like a 5 hour ride west and south of ft lauderdale.
They are on lockdown until tuesday. Basically can't go anywhere and gotta be ready to serve!
Hopefully no need for our first responders but they are ready! They just moved down there last month so this is a good kick off for them!

It is good news that there a posts coming out of south Florida. 36 more hours to go....

At first I thought that image was supposed to be a meme joke but then I see they are serious :D. All I know is they looked like idiots storming the field after beating Auburn of all teams lol

The crowd comes on the field after every home game, win or lose

Been doing it for years....

So I guess traditions are dumb...just like running down the hill...right????

Yes running down the hill looks dumb too just after rubbing a pet rock :D

Haters gonna hate when they have to look up from the bottom

Yawn. Lol so you beat a typical crap auburn team (again) and now you're somehow on top? Last time I checked y'all aren't at the top...

This is our history. No need to pet rocks or run down a hill like a 5 YO or storm the field win or lose. Just simple, elegant, history.

Smh. Love Bama. 100k alums...1,000,000,000 "fans"

Kind of like how you hang around here to be a "fan" of Yamaha huh?

So what is the meaning behind storming the field?

There is no meaning behind it and we don't storm the field. The hill they run down is a large portion of the student section, there are no assigned seats or seats at all.

When the game is over they open the gate between the hill and the end zone. The students go on the field...that's it.

I figured it was a bunch of students. I saw some of them coming in from the sides too crawling over a brick wall. I've just never understood the meaning of it or why some schools do it. I guess I could understand some David vs Goliath type match ups where it's a no-name FBS school knocking down a giant power conference school or something but even then it's kind of cringe to me lol. Just seems silly but I'm glad y'all won. I hate Auburn so it was fun to see my auburn fans squirm in disgust of the Gus bus lol.

Focus guys...this is an Irma thread....

My brother is evacuating inland to a neighbors concrete built warehouse....he's taken a bunch of his equipment from Big Frog Oldsmar to the warehouse as well. Hoping these Tampa Bay storm surge predictions are too high!

There's like 8+ Irma threads :p. I figured it was ok to side track this one since the OP already side tracked his own thread. Sorry I will leave it to the storm folks.

Hope they pull through fine. My grandmother and family are in Orlando so they will see some winds but won't have to deal with storm surge. Praying for those affected.
