Last weekend I installed the OPT7 on the back seat rest and the seat I lost. (Monday my seadek is in)
Tonight I installed THE MERCURY SURFACE MOUNT TRANSOM OR DECK LIGHT from boatpluglight.com. My plan B I put them all in the middle. Couldn’t figure out on to put them on each side. Can’t wait to test them tomorrow night.

I had new bow and cockpit covers made (sunbrella) by
Artisan Boat Covers Travis did an outstanding job and he did it quickly for a reasonable price $1150.

I installed a ground strap for my trailer to get a solid ground between the swing away and the rest of the trailer. Now I have reliable trailer lighting.

I replaced the speedometer pitot that was broken so now my speedometer works again!

Today I installed the new Thrust Vector X fins, a battery charger, and did the 10 hour service on both engines. I also verified the 2021 ignition wire harness matches the one in the pushbutton-start DIY instructions elsewhere on this form. So, I have a winter project!

Yesterday I had the boat winterized, oil changed and then gave the boat a nice polish using Hula Boat Care Hang Ten wax. Has a really nice shine and makes the flake pop. So much that the YouTube compression couldnt deal with it lol. Now just waiting on holiday deals for boat stuff to get some LED lighting and some extra lead for next season.

Wow, looks shiny!!
I think I got the same foam gun to shampoo the boat with a pressure washer. I have no idea how I lived my life thus far without it! It's fun to use and makes the hull cleanup so much faster, we ride in salt more often than not.

Very slowly switching over to JLs throughout

Just swapped my Type R 10" sub (300w RMS) for a JL 10" (250w RMS). Got it brand new for $160 locally on OfferUp. Didn't think it would be a huge difference but I was amazed. So much cleaner.

Now to swap the 6 Kicker 8" speakers with M6-770s. Going to cost a bit though.

The crazy thing is I haven’t washed my boat since the beginning of summer!! I wished we had water to use at my storage facility. Instead we’ve just had to be sure we wipe it down good pulling it out and clean with spray waxes. Next year I’ll probably have one of the mobile detail crews come and give it a wash a few times but moreso to clean the gatorstep than anything.

The Hula wax was nice to use and gave pretty good results with minimal effort. Comes off real nice! I’m going to try some Rejex next year as well since I’ve read good things about it.

Here’s some video when I pulled the boat back inside my unit. It gives a better idea of the shine and reflections.

You just can't go wrong with Rejex. I started using it on @djetok recommendation, nothing but jaw dropping results.
No bs. Just take a look at this:
1605470889907.png
1605470901702.png
Consider this:
This boat was Rejexed about 3-4 weeks ago. Since then it sat in fresh water lake for a week, and did two trips in Hudson/East river (brackish); then yesterday we rode all day in salt in the Newark Bay, from Arthur Kill up Hackensack River. It is an area not know for pristine water. In fact it is currently considered as a superfund site due to industrial pollution. I love this place for its postindustrial awesomeness but.... cleanest water it is simply not, and the boat comes out of it looking pretty sad... covered in salt (little crystals) and yellowish scum - I don't have a picture but you get the idea.
Fast forward to this, above, boat had just simple shampoo/saltaway bath with foaming cannon (set for very thick foaming action), let it sit for few minutes and rinse with pressure washer w/misting sprayer. No brushing, no touch, no hand polish of any kind, just foam and rinse.
It's hard to believe but I know what I did, lol, so I'm pretty impressed.
For reference - I use 50/50 generic car wash soap and Saltaway in the cannon, fill the can up and use the whole thing, rinse with water no other additives and walk away, come back in 2 hours to put the cover on.

If you're looking for a good soap with good lubricity that foams well in a foam cannon you should check out meguiars hyperwash. Since I wash a lot (clients cars, my boat everytime it touches water, our vehicles) I buy it by the gallon and it lasts me a long time. Pretty sure you can get it on amazon.

Yup you can get it on amazon:

Cleaned my boat after spending a month at the dealer. Sanding dust everywhere in the engine bay, overspray in places, dirty shoe prints on some of my seats, and generally just filthy from being rained on. Glad she's all cleaned up, and back in storage out of the element's. Tossed some antifreeze in each of the ballasts too as I noticed a little bit of ice in there. Water wasn't frozen solid, but better safe than sorry. Granted it has been sitting outside in freezing Temps for a month +. Also put a quick connect on my high pressure pump.

Nothing. I did nothing to my boat today because its winter and 29 degrees outside and she's tucked away at the storage facility. I need to move someplace warmer.

I've had one before and loved it. It eventually wore out. This one is new and I haven't used this one, yet. I like that it's a high volume/pressure pump. It pumps up my big 2 person tube in no time and it pumps it nice and tight.
