So what does Yamaha have to offer that the compitition doesn't at this 100k mark?
Obviously, these are my opinion of benefit vs drawbacks. but here's why I like the jet boat:
1. Dual engine for the smaller size craft. You can get a 21' boat, and lets say up to 27' boat with twin engine. Which is great redundancy and is a safety factor especially off shore or big lakes. Perhaps better would be a boat with twin outboards, but look at a twin outboard setup with power ranges similar (I would say a 175-200 hp outboard is similar to 215hp jet - ballbarking at best here of course) and I bet the prices of those boats are almost always higher than 100k NEW.
2. Jet pumps are super simple to do maintenance on and are really very simple setups. I hope that the new pump system they have come up with is somewhat backwards compatible because they have decades of similar designs where parts can be interchanged (somewhat) allowing for several combinations and repairs. Outdrives and Outboards "typically" aren't too bad if you keep up on it. Ever hit a rock? I've helped friends and family several times. They have never had to help me.
3. While Yamaha isn't a leader in quality or an innovator of cutting edge in the industry, they do make a whole package deal at a competitive cost. I know they have the ability to be higher in quality as the over seas yachts look amazing. I would assume those are held to a higher standard. This cost/fit and finish ratio could be debated forever without an ending in sight. I prefer more functionality. I honestly think that the fancier Yamaha tries to get the worse the quality sounds it gets - but I don't have first hand experience of this fancy stuff you guys have.

Looks like the console from my 212ss as well as the glove box.
So pre-2015 style boat either 21' or 23' that means. The upholstery is different from what I have seen.
The windshield isn't from my SS... waay too tall and see through. Looking at the carpet it seems longer than my 212 on the back end, so I'm guessing a 230 unless it's a camera trick. SR/SX since no tower.

On my 07 AR230 the windshield frame is Aluminum, silver in color, not a black anodized finish that we see here and on the newer boats. The frame profile is different. And my dash is not like that either. The step over transom is different. And the table mount says older design. It is not an SR230 either, based on photos, much narrower/deeper step over than my 07. AR230 on left.
@BigAbe75 is correct. looks like a 2011 sx210. But the black anodizing still throws me off.

THis has got to be the new 27'...! WHoa.
If that is the case, I LOVE, love, love the high gunwales in the back. I would consider upgrading based on that feature alone. No, not for 110k, lol.
The 230s and SXs never had J-seating, right? And the handles in the rear...
Also, the throttle binnacle seems more forward like the E-series, the "head" comp seems big.

Looks way too small for a 27'er. And yes, my 07 has J-seating as well as the sx210 from 2011. And I would expect a connext or chartplotter dash not a conventional gauge layout.

Hmmm it looks like an older model / dated design compared to newer boats. I mean why would they have a dash which looks to have multiple gauge pods when all of new boats have digital screen? The table mount is old school too. There’s no head door (look close and you can see a small helm access door) so I can’t think this is the new model. It also looks too small to be 27’. I think this is just some random old pic the more I think about it. No way Yamaha will leak out a picture to an insurance company before their reveal.

that photo on the right thats being touted as a possible new model.....is definitely a pre-2012 212. I remember. I wanted one.... black windshield makes it a ss i think.

I doubt that Yamaha would go back to the "table leg" setup in the middle of the floor and the sh*%#y glovebox design in a brand new boat. Also agree that's a multiple gauge dash like in mine (2006).

its funny, dont even own the jetboat...YET. but back when I first started looking at them, the 2012+ 21' was my target. redesigned hull with HUUUGE bow. ive looked at SO many pics lol
waiting patiently to see a 27 yamaha. no interest in it, especially with twin superchargers... unless... maybe theyve made bigger pumps? i imagine it will be slow and suck gas.
My personal interest will be just to check it out, but more, waiting for the market to be flooded with cheap 2015+ 24's HAHAHAH

The fuzzy photos of the "2020 AR275" does look like the wrap around windshield is extended back quite a way. They don't need a larger swim platform, or bow, so I guess that would make sense.
I agree with those that posted above, twin supercharged engines will make many of the fence sitters fall towards an inboard or outboard. Many say, if you are buying a 100K boat, you don't worry about fuel. But in this case it may reach most folks breaking point. It's just too inefficient to imagine. I can't wait to see it either way.
