2018 Bimini June trip (June 24th - June 30th)

Wonder if it would make sense for us to bring hot dog fixings (etc) to the pool and cook up food there for the group? @Bruce can you confirm no food at the pool? If there are gas grills there...do we need to bring our own gas?

This is our plan for most of our stay.

There are gas and charcoal grills at the pool. 3 of each.

The pool bar is closed.

Unfortunately the pool deck is being torn down. Not sure why. Waiting for a call on that.

Last year the boats that stayed behind had a group meal at the pool. We were swarmed by flies. Had to keep all the foot covered.

I'm leaving later...but if I were going at this hour, I'd be using gas from a 5 gallon can of my own vs waiting in line for gas at 6am! Another good reason for having gas! <eat MORE BEANS> LOL

And with my new speed nozzles on my 5 gallon cans, they will empty in < 60 seconds! WOOT

Not the last time this was asked....if the pool is closed there will be a riot. I assume he is referring to the covered part of the deck where there were chairs (where we had captains meeting).

so, Marci did mention something about not being able to our original condo repaired soon due to the mail barge and not being able to get what they need. Im planning to bring as much of my own provisions as space will allow.....so I don't have to go with out or be charged extra....

Nice I knew someone would bring to market fill hose without all the dam no spill restrictions. I’m still using old 5 gal dirt bike cans with the large clear tubes.

@Betik it will be the minivan and not the limo. US customs came up with a list that includes a letter from coast guard stating that the boat is deleted in their system (as it was bought by a foreign national and licensed to boat in a different country, actual transportation permits and invoice stating that the boat was legally transported from Boston to Miami and Canadian registration (which itself will take 3-4 weeks). Flying back to DC tonight and pulling my chap to Ft Lauderdale along with @jayasaki138 . So I will see you on Saturday with my chap. We are still on for Sunday.

Look on the positive site of things, you don’t have to pay shipping the limo to Florida and back to Canada.
