2018 Bimini June trip (June 24th - June 30th)

I think it happened because she was were orange nail polish in Abaco she should probably throw that away.
True, orange nail polish is now a no no on the boat along with banana yellow polish.

With less than 4 weeks to go, who's getting antsy? "Maybe" folks around me are getting tired of hearing about it. This will be my 3rd trip to Bimini and I still can't freakin wait! Has anyone else started packing besides me?...

Anyone know how far Silver Glenn Spring is off I95 is it worth the detour? I'm thinking of stopping Friday on my way down.

I dont think you should underestimate you superhuman strength can do. I would not risk a trip in a new place a day prior to departure.

It’s about 30 min to Ed Stone Park (boat ramp) from I95
Then is about hour and half by boat to silver glen springs
We went last Saturday and it is beautiful

I have packed all the essentials. Alcohol, cigars, gopros, passports & cash. All other are optional.
Bimini is not definilty not dropping from my radar even if my schedule looks like these between now and Labour Day

  • Wife&kids going to penscola this weekend
  • inspect the new brick for our new hope ( contract had to uninstall the wrong bring)
  • Meet, Wife& kids in sherventpot LA to bring them to lake ouchita
  • Drop the kids in shreventport LA so Nanny can take them back to Pensacola
  • Fly to LAX the very next day
  • inspect the new countertops for all the bathrooms, since the contractors screwed up
  • come back to DFW and get ready for Bimini 1
  • drive to FL on Friday , cross Sunday or Monday & fly back on Tuesday , then drive back to Dallas ( maybe detour through Hot springs)
  • spend some time with the admiral
  • Celebrate my wife's birthday
  • start driving to FL for BImini 2 on Friday, cross on Sunday or Monday and then fly back on Tuesday, then drive back to Dallas so I can be at work on Wednesday
  • load ski and boat and head to lake powell
  • hopefully by end of July close on the new house
  • move to the new house
  • fly to Italy & Greece
  • come back home to celebrate our little boy's 5th birthday

at least its fresh water. I'm 1 hour from there and never been...

Take that Friday off an meet me there lol!

Will it be easy enough to find my way back there anything I need to be aware of navigation wise?

DDBF3EFB-A3C2-4361-9BB6-48B8F910A2D9.png There are a few no wake zones but otherwise it’s a nice run it’s just under 50 miles round trip from Ed Stone to the Glen
Lake George can be a beast during a storm
Salt springs isn’t that much further up it’s about 80ish miles to hit both springs from ed stone
A group just went this past Sunday and hit Deleon springs and the Sugar Mill (lots of no wake zones) As well I believe the trip was right at 100 miles round trip

No very straightforward
There is a gasoline station about half way there and a couple of restaurants

Can’t wait. I have a space in the garage dedicated to Bimini stuff. So concerning I actually spent a rainy day yesterday installing head storage shelf making much needed room.

Is there another ramp to cut some of that time down or is that about it? I was only thinking of a 2-3 hour or so stop not a full day that might be a little ambitious with another 3.5 hours of driving to go that day hmm.

@Valerie i got you covered on the name for you trustworthy vessel.

There is another ramp over by castaways that my friend used the other weekend but I don’t know the exact address I can get it if you are interested
