2019 Release coming soon!

I don't see the interior being any wider on the 19'. Seat profile looks a hair different but hard to tell because of the redesigned upholstery styling. The arm cushion behind the drivers seat is definitely different shape and looks all black there now. The window frame appears to be silver/gray instead of black but not sure if that's a 190 or 195 and if the color changes based off model. The helm looks different for sure and the "brow" over the old twin round gauges is gone. Hard to tell but the helm looks more rectangular which is inline with other Yamaha helms that included.....Connext. Hmm

Nice screen grab. The throttle/drive area looks different in color and how it is constructed at least at first glance, again tough to tell.

Another note is the walkthrough between the swim platform and rear seats. Much lower than on AR and SX models currently. Platform also looks redesigned in general, different marine mat and a different hatch opening for the clean out ports

Nice catch on the walk way being different (lower). Should make it much easier and safer to cross over. Now that makes me think the rear bench might finally be a seperate removable cushion like all the other boats. Basically like my jetboatpilot rear seat conversion kit. It would only make sense at this point for Yamaha. It's always been a gripe with 19' SX and AR owners.

Also noticed the swim deck is single latch instead of two. Swim deck cup holders are now on the lower platform instead of the upper. Nice! Always hated trying to grab my drink if I'm in the water. Chrome gas cap too.

I like that the corner of the upper deck has seadek. My son has slipped a few times jumping off right there on our 2018. The outer edge is also much wider which will also help with jumping off.

Agreed. It does get slick there for sure druing any water activities. I've always been surprised that Jet Boat Pilot didn't have a seadek template for those areas on the rear yet have ones for the bow and just in front of the windshield. I like the cup holders on the bottom platform for ease of use from the water, but you do loose a bit more platform there. Subtle changes on a lot of items so far. Will be interesting to see how the interior shakes out and how the seats are set up.

Would love to see the AR240 schemes

I don't like the cup holders there due to losing area on the platform. I bet if enough of us talked to JBP he may make a template for those corners. I am going to bow the bow and front of windshield so we can safely jump from there. A big part of our family boating is jumping off our boat lol. Looking at the cupholders again I think it may interfere with the new swimdeck ballasts. I wonder if that single hatch may have issues popping open at higher speeds?

I have mixed feelings about the cupholders. They lower they are the more they will get dripped on from kids and dogs. But ease of access from the water is a good point too. I wonder why they switched the ladder and grab handles over to the starboard side.
In any case I feel the 2018 AR195 is much better overall. (I have to say that. Don't want buyer's remorse just 6 weeks in!)

If it's just an interior change then that would come down to taste. Hope you got a good deal buying so cloese to the 19s coming out

The cup holders on the upper swim deck always emptied into the bilge. Not sure if the lower ones will have the drain vent like the larger boats do. Either way shouldn't be an issue if they get wet since they will drain.

Your boat should already have SeaDek on the upper swim deck corners. What they did for 2019 was add a little more material. Never been a slip issue for us but having more material doesn't hurt.

For reference here's a 2018 and you can see there is SeaDek there just not as much as the new 2019's have...

I guess the difference I see is the corner on the 18s are a bit smaller than the 19s.

I guess I got a "fair" deal. But I bet the deals will be better now that they need to clear out the old stock. Especially since it seems there are some significant changes beyond just colours.

Dammit! none of those were the AR210... Sigh, I guess I'll wait.

The ‘19 242x is just under 80k with the price increase. A 27 with twin supercharged engines would easily top $100k. A lot fewer buyers at that price point. Not saying it won’t happen, but companies market to their tried and true base.
What?? It is 74k today....????

No way!! What's so new and exciting to justify that? Glad I got my 2018 AR240 when I did. Do these new prices have something to do with trade war tariffs maybe?? It's too much of a jump in price. Normally like $500, but not 5K for essentially the same boat...wow!!

I'm quite content having bought my AR240 this year, not to mention the deal I got was insane. Any new steering enhancement can be achieved with the JBP products...probably better off then the new design anyway.
