2020 Bimini Trip July 12-18th

Good conditions yesterday for a Sapona snorkel trip. Spent the rest of the day at the pool and made a quick trip down to the local market. We are all really enjoying this place.

we came over in shit conditions in our face and figure shit on our ass HAS to be better. We are leaving Saturday morning with @Rotorwash and a friend of his we met here
That last 20 miles was pretty dang shitty I must say. That thunderstorm left a mess to get through. How much fuel did you burn. I was good until we peeled off when y'all went north. We burned about 40% more just pushing through the last 20 miles.

Congratulations guys on a safe trip last week.

Where are all the photos?

Awesome vid! Thanks for sharing!

Been busy after getting back. I’ll get them consolidated soon.

It was rough but we did good on fuel. I only burned 37 gallons total on the crossing.

@jethrof16 how was your return trip???? We want details and footage!
Well...it was better than the trip over (if you can believe that). Burned a lot less fuel and following seas (first half) are a lot easier to manage. The last half we still had good winds but the waves were a churned up mess. Luckily only had to stop once to clean the seaweed out of the intakes. I’ll get around to getting some footage together. There’s not much because it was really too rough to hold a camera and I didn’t get around to installing a GoPro mount.

I was worried when I was watching the radar as it seemed like storms where all over the place that day with lots of rain. Lightening is nothing to be messed with on the water.

Here is some video from out trip this year we lost a bunch of footage do to a GoPro seal leaking.

Looked like an amazing trip! Can’t wait to do it myself!
