I just watched a video review of the 242x.
It has the same engines as the FSH 252; Twin 1.8L HO's.
It's roughly the same size as well.
Time to Plane: 2.6 sec
0-30 MPH: 5.6 sec
Top Speed: 50.7 MPH
Will that translate over to the 252?
Maybe. Maybe not.
We'll just need to wait and see.
Will it get me out to the islands quickly?
Yup.
Will it improve my fishing skills?
Sadly, no. ?
So I'm going to have the dealer install a Minn Kota trolling motor.
The iPilot System is amazing.
I was recently out fishing on a friends 23'.
We pulled up to an artificial reef out in the gulf, and he hit "spot lock".
The boat stayed right there without an an anchor.
I was amazed!
Definitely getting one on the 252.
Heard from the dealer. I guess Yamaha is finally getting around to building these boats. He said all pre orders that had money down will be honored at the MSRP price, and they have to be a certified order. Any boat not certified will be $2500 more, and $5000 more for 2022. Delivery time frame is end of January to March.
Just heard from my dealer today.
They said the FSH 252 is just starting to go into production and that they expect delivery around February or March.
I also pre-ordered with money down, days before it was announced.
I'm seeing all of these other boats being delivered...hoping ours is next!
Great plan, Go as large as you can with that building, you'll fill it! 12' + overhead doorsI have an ambitious plan to build a new structure to house my boat and truck. I don't have a garage, so I've been wanting to build something for many years.
The plan is for it to be 25' x 40'.
But I want to get the boat first.
I helped a neighbor build a 25' x 48' pole barn, and it only cost him $7k in materials, including metal roofing. So relatively affordable.
Almost forgot, If your the tinkering type, you'll need this as well:Great plan, Go as large as you can with that building, you'll fill it! 12' + overhead doors
