2021 FSH 252 Sport Thread

I just watched a video review of the 242x.
It has the same engines as the FSH 252; Twin 1.8L HO's.
It's roughly the same size as well.

Time to Plane: 2.6 sec
0-30 MPH: 5.6 sec
Top Speed: 50.7 MPH

Will that translate over to the 252?
Maybe. Maybe not.
We'll just need to wait and see.
Will it get me out to the islands quickly?
Yup.
Will it improve my fishing skills?
Sadly, no.

Only difference is the weight. Roughly 1k pounds more (3,713 vs 4,782).

my guess is your original quote at around 40-45 mph. I have the same engine in my 2018 VX Cruiser HO and it tops out at 67 MPH. My 2019 FX Cruiser HO share the same engine and only goes 56-57 MPH because of a 67 pound difference and a more stable hull design.

• Next generation of Yamaha’s Connext® helm control system featuring Yamaha Drive Control allows watersports enthusiasts to program GPS-controlled speeds, four
  different acceleration curves and stores rider profiles for quick access.
  • This is great for wake boarding/surfing etc. You set the acceleration speed (slow/medium/fast) and the target hold speed, activate the system and just push the throttles forward. The boat accelerates itself, at the pre-selected acceleration level until it reaches the target speed. Then it holds that speed regardless of if you turn etc. You can also increase or decrease the speed with + and - buttons.
• Push Button Start.
• Single Lever Control - use one throttle to control both engines and it keeps both engines in RPM sync
• Servo controlled gate controls.

I would love to have push button start on my 210. Absolutely hate to location of the keys. By the time you put a float on the keys and tie them together, it gets a bit cumbersome at times.

My dealer is telling me that one 255 FSH is being sent to selected dealers for public view. You would have to order your boat which is built already so there shouldn't be a large delay in receiving it. Seems practicable, so the boats go to those demand markets. Because it's considered an offshore boat I believe Florida and other coastal states will be their biggest market.

I just cancelled my 195s today and early ordered a 252 fsh sport. I had time to think while waiting for the 195 and fell in love with the 252. I look forward to the discussions.

my concern was that a 19 footer wouldn’t be enough for entertaining friends and family. So I considered going to a 21 footer, but after seeing one, I didn’t think it was substantially bigger. I saw the 252 fsh when Yamaha updated their site last month. thought it was out of my comfort zone at first, but really liked the layout of the center console. I was seriously considering the 210 fsh, but it has the tr1 motors and I didn’t think there was enough room aft of the helm for seating. I thought the Layout and design of the 252 fsh was exactly what I was looking for. It took me about a week to rationalize and convince the admiral. It also gives me a higher comfort level going out on Lake Michigan. I also got a fantastic deal for pre-ordering, total cost otd ( less tax) was about 1k less than list. Still a lot of money, but I’m pretty sure I won’t be second guessing the size.

I totally agree I'm as well am giving second thoughts. I live in Sebastian FL and have direct access to the ocean, so with that being said this is the perfect boat of choice, however, have to convince the wife Good luck my friend
