@Zackdadams a little unrelated, but I saw one post up that you have a magma kettle on board.

I'm storing it in the box it came in, in my center console.
I actually have not used it yet.
But I will be using it a lot on Saturday.
I will be cooking for 4 different boats out at Ship Island.
I plan on grilling on a griddle. ?

In case you were wondering what amplifier is included with the boat:

Looks to be a custom version of the Wet Sounds HTX-4.
And of course they unfortunately have removed all expandability except for a DSP port, which is something unusable at the moment.

Specs: 100 watts RMS x 4 at 4 ohms (150 watts RMS x 4 at 2 ohms

Basically if you are driving the boat you will not really be able to hear the sound system. I was cruising across the gulf today at 40 plus with the sound system cranked. Couldn't even hear the words.

If you're parked it's not terrible but it's not great either. Little to no mid-range or bass response.

Also having the radio built into the main connect screen is not really ideal when you are driving.
Someone standing next to you has to reach over the steering wheel to switch to the music screen, or to adjust volume. That is not good because I want to be on the main screen with RPMs.

Long story short: going to be adding a Kicker head unit (KMC5), connected to the 6 existing Wet Sounds speakers. That alone should be a major upgrade to sound, being fully controllable at that point. If needed I'll add a 6-channel amp for them at a future date.

Later I'll be adding an additional amplifier with one 10" (or 12") subwoofer mounted in the center console below the existing Wet Sounds speakers. Possibly an additional battery.

The end goal is simply to have good full range sound while sitting at the sandbar.

So I got a chance to use the Magma Kettle 3 this weekend.

Assembly was quick, but you need 2 adjustable wrenches. Someone on my boat suggested I get a couple of stainless Wing nuts. Definitely going to look into that.

Getting the thing cranked was a little tricky.
It was pretty windy.
I'm glad I brought a long lighter!

We grilled up around 20 hamburgers.
We were able to cook 3 at a time; they took around 10 minutes each round so it was a little slow.
It only took one small propane tank for all of that.

We used a round cast iron griddle which helped tremendously. Once it was heated up it held that heat. All the grease stayed on the griddle.
When we were done grilling having the fresh water wash down was great for cleaning and cooling down the Kettle.

Overall we had a lot of happy boaters!
Grilling up hamburgers out at an island is amazing.

I put everything back in the original box and I'll be storing that in my center console.
Don't forget to bring a box of paper shop towels!
I'm keeping them in my battery compartment.

Looks awesome Zack!

What are you seeing for fuel mileage / consumption at best cruise?
How many people have you had on board?
Are you happy with the power of the normally aspirated 1.8’s?

I had seven adults on board this trip.
I'm getting about 2 MPG I believe.
So far very happy with the performance of the boat.

Thats great man! I know it was a long wait but it seems like it was worth it!

You are the best source of info on this boat and it’s performance!

I used mine for the first time tonight and it worked better than I expected. I grilled some hotdogs for the kids and a few burgers. Luckly there wasn't much grease from this initial burn so I just let it cool down and spun it off the rod holder mount to store flat. Since it just "spins and spins" I need to watch it otherwise it's going to the bottom of the lake!

I am seeing about 1.9 mpg burned around 50 gallons of fuel over the weekend . Boat runs and drives great very happy with mine . You are right the sound system sucks when running . where are you thinking of mounting Kenwood deck ? Have my stereo guy coming out this week

I'm installing a Kicker KMC5 head unit.
It just requires a 3-in hole.
It has a 6-channel amp built in.
The KMC5 also has a video input so you could hook up a rear view camera of some sort.

Most likely I'll be relocating the 12 volt Outlet and aux Jack, and installing it there, to the right of the throttles.

Alternatively I'll mount it right below the Simrad.

I just dropped the boat off for its 10-hour servicing so I'll be getting it back in around a week.

Cost of your upgrades with install?

Kicker head unit is $575, plus I ordered the Remote Commander Controller $60, that I will mount at the back of the boat where the current controller is.

Also ordered a new 3-in hole saw, was around $20.
There are miscellaneous additional items you'll need such as butt connectors, line splicers, heat shrink tubing, dielectric grease, etc.

I'm an electrical contractor and have been installing car audio and boat audio systems for years so I'll be doing the installation myself.

However I would venture to guess that installation would probably cost you around $150.

One more thing.
The included ice chest is really nice but also really small. Barely holds one large bag of ice.

I was in a hurry to get out this weekend so I ran by Walmart and picked up a Yeti knockoff.

It's 77 quarts, was only $170 and has held the ice for about 4 days now. It said on the description that it held ice for 9 days but I find that hard to believe.
However for the price, Super happy with it!
It fits perfectly under the seat.

I believe the brand was called Lifetime.

That 77 qt doesn’t fit under the captains chair does it?

You beat me to my edit LOL.
No it fits perfectly under the captain's chair.
I'll take a picture of it once I get it back from its 10-hour servicing.

Ship Date has been changed once again for us. Until the 24th. This will make prob 5th or 6th date change. How many did you all go through before boat actually shipped?

It's been hurry up and wait the entire time, since August '20.
