One picture of your last outing.

First time out since changing the oil (52.5 hours on both motors) about 3 weeks ago. Spark plugs will be swapped out as soon as I get a chance. I will give your suggestion a try but will likely have to wait until late February early march.

Thanks for the reminder, While, we have been out a couple of times this year, conditions haven't been ideal.
The boat has been to the dealer 3 times recently for the tower. The starboard side tower doesn't meet the base, It's about .625" short. You have to push up extremely hard to close the gap in order to secure it with tower knob.
Yamaha corporate came back with a possible solution. Unfortunately, in order to gain access to the tower base they have to remove the upholstered side panel which runs from roughly from the front of the tower base to the wet storge/seat back of the transom. It is scheduled to go back on Mondy (14th) when a Yamaha Rep and the dealer's upholsterer will be on site.

Sorry to heat about that issue… when you get it back be sure and put at least a tank of fuel through just to test the repairs! 😃. Hopefully that will be the only issue for the rest of its life if not for the season.

Love it when this thread starts appearing on the top of the "New Posts List". Means we are getting back on the boats soon in the Northern states.

Very end of the day yesterday. We had to limp back about 3 miles at 5 mph Otherwise one of the best days we've had on the water in a while.

A rep from Yamaha and a service tech at the dealer tried to align the tower without success. Wednesday. The rep is supposed to consult with his peers. Yamaha and I are thinking a defective tower. We will see.

We got the pinecone out when we got back to our storage unit. We were able to get back out on Sunday, and the boat ran as it should. Now maybe I can work on that speed test.

I missed out on a good pic but I missed ice off by about 3 days. Had to fish where the ice allowed. Ice shifted through the day and we had to break ice for about 100ft to get back to the ramp. Slow and easy, lots of ice breaking with the paddle, the fishing net did not survive, but the boat came through unscathed.
