Raleigh/durham end of summer / fall gathering

Count us in, we will have our 8 month old daughter with us. What's the best ramp to use coming from Fuquay?

@jeremy0011 the best ramp I am familiar with is the falls lake recreation area ramp off of hwy 50... u take 540 straight to hwy 50 and go north...

Man you guys are making me jealous. The only thing keeping me from pulling my hair out is I will be on two wheels in the mountains for the week! You all have fun and be safe! Hopefully I will be able to join up next time!

Wish I could. I will off with work on the hot bike tour. Our shop got invited to build a bike for the voting. Wish us luck. Look it up. It its called the hot bike tour 2016. Supposed to. Even 1000 miles in 5 days.

This is what we built! 135ci motor making 194hp and 167ftlbs of torque on a very hot and humid day. We hope when it cools off we will bust Off 200hp

Ok.. we r less than a week away ... now it's time for a few house keepin issues..

1- just to have an good idea I would like to know who is Definately in...

2- for those who are coming and are not familiar with falls lake please sound off... falls isn't an east lake to navigate sometimes.. esp when u r not familiar. We WI give u ramp tips and how to find us.

3- if it will make things easier for those who are not familiar we can offer an escort if needed. We will provide a phone number later in the week to call or text and we can make sure u and your boat arrive. [I think @Julian has a decent map showing the area).

4- if u think you would need some assit getting to the cove let's make sure we communicate. Some people from out of town will be arriving at different times. The escort is just an excuse to go cruizing!!!!!

5- if for whatever reason u have people who would like to come but can't arrive and leave the dock with you rhe cove we will be in is at the southern end of sandling beach state park. They can literally park a car approximately 300 feet from where we are and we are in site of the parking area. However we are on the other side of the cove. A boat will have to idle over and pick them up but it will be less than one minute to get there to pick them up... no issue at all.

6- falls is hard to navigate through sometimes due to so many identical fingers that split off of it. However it is a beautiful ride. If late in the day people who are not familiarwith the lake and who want to see the scenery we can cruise to the far end of the lake where the dam is... it's approximate a 20 mile cruise from the cove.

7- if anyone is coming from out of town and needs help with hotels or specific directions you can pm me or @Julian or many other locals

@Julian , anything I forgot?

If anything arises my pm me...

We r looking forward to saturday!

I was planning in getting out there around 10am so I can stake claim to the cove and the beach.....someone had a party there today (first time I've seen that) so I'll get there in the am to ensure we have the spot. I will also put up a Jetboaters.net banner facing out into the lake so people know they are in the right spot.

@bronze_10 I wouldn't put your phone number in the clear in this thread.....it is open to the public. We'll start a conversation once we have an attendee list.

@bronze_10 im still 95% sure I'm coming just unsure who all will be with me and whether I will be on my boat or a ski yet but pretty sure that at least I will attend even if it's just me on a ski.

Anyone have a decent drone? I have a crappy one with no FPV and no gimble....just a fixed angle gopro mount. I'll bring it if no one else has a better one. It should get some sort of wide angle aerial shot.....

I have a dji phantom 3 I will bring it if you want some shots but if I'm on a ski I will need to throw it on someone's boat. @bronze_10 I think @DieselCamel maybe coming as well

Cool... we will be there all day.. anything u need to store u r welcome to tuck it away in one of ours... that's great diesel camel may be coming. I just never saw a responce. The more the merrier!!! If he does that should put us to 13 boats.
