Very cool....the vehicles and loading look very similar to what I see in India. But as they are building highways there, they are quickly realizing that they need to start teaching some basic traffic rules....like why there are lines on the road! My last trip was the first time I have ever seen even the slightest notice being taken to lane usage!

That water is amazingly clear! Any reefs and/or diving in the area?

Yes many reefs and great for snorkeling and/or Diving also wreck diving and about 4 years ago they dumped a load of old military
Tanks and equipment in certain places to encourage Marine life and it worked really well now they are well established and a good place to dive.
As for the driving here in Thailand no notice is ever taken of road markings they just drive flat out all the time and have no regard for other people, Probably 70% of people don't have a licence or insurance and speed limits are completely ignored, Police are completely undermanned and don't really care about what motorists do they would rather have an easy life.

Hi Ken, Yes can get sunscreen no problem and i recommend factor 50 as in the Boat you will burn very very easy even when it's a dull day it still gets you, I've been thinking if we get our heads together and someone takes a photo maybe we could get in the Boats and babes section, What you think?

I'm sure Asia is renown for this, Every now and then they have a big clampdown but the ones that order it are making the most of the situation and are usually the main offenders, Since the Army have been in power it has got better i must admit and thing's are more stable now, A lot of the culprits are in jail and many high ranking police officers, They actually not only Jail them but take over all assets and bank accounts and Bulldoze there houses and property to the ground and claim the Land, The families are left with nothing but they have lived well beyond there means for years so while others live in poverty, It makes me smile because they get greedy and it's obvious they cannot afford big houses and Mercedes etc on a small salary, As they say in England ....You cant educate Pork.

LOL....very true. I went full beard too.....Not a great picture, I was on Skype in my hotel room in Bahrain. But you get the idea. Everyone says I Look like Obidiah (Jeff bridges, Ironman). I just need a suit to complete the look.

Well I've got the Boat out of the water and it's time to give it a good once over, The rainy season is starting here in Thailand so it gives me chance to do a few odd jobs and a good clean etc, It was the first time the Boat has been on the new trailer i built so i was anxious to know if it sat well and was pleased to confirm a resounding success, here's a few Photos for you to have a look at.

Just giving the Hull a good clean and polish, The Boat sits nicely on the new trailer


I leave the plugs in a bucket of soapy water for a few days, I find it cleans them and keeps them in good condition and keeps the rubber seals in nice condition.


Anchor rope goes into a bucket of a mixture of Bleach and floor cleaner for a few days, It comes out like new.




Many trailers here are made of a hard wood and prove very successful as they don't suffer from rust and are very strong, I considered going down this road and maybe next time i will give it a try,



Nothing gets thrown away, An old Motorcycle chassis converted to pull the fishing Boats up the beach.


Ok well my Boats had a really good clean now inside and out and a few small jobs completed, I tend to keep on top of it most weeks but i spend much time cleaning and generally tinkering with it, I hope you have enjoyed the latest post and i will be heading to Bangkok soon to get some more photos and information to pass onto you, I hope you enjoy.
