Whats with the penny on the red cabbage?

To show scale/size in relation to the penny…I had no quarters in my pocket, lol.
Edit: red lettuce not cabbage. Cabbages are not shown.

Who carries around pennys?😂

Impressive! We've got some cold days/nights coming early next week...how does it hold temps once you get a couple of cold days in a row?

IDK yet, we will find out. Gets pretty warm in there with the sun out. The ground is a thermal mass that we use. Cold snaps we use tarps or remay with wire hoops to get the plants through the cold nights. We have had 5-6 frosty nights so far. We will see what Mother Nature has to say.

From ARMY JROTC to signing today for the USCG. Horrible experience with the AirForce recruiter pre and post MEPS, so we decided to entertain a conversation with the Coast Guard, and she was hooked, no pun intended. She even received her first Challenge Coin from the recruiter during her final paperwork signing. My understanding is that this coin is for the incoming recruiters only, but with my AUX affiliation, he felt it appropriate give her one. Boot Camp in Cape May New Jersey February 🥶 🥶 🥶 🥶

Will be adding another 6” of hearth stones ..I really lucked out and found these hearth stones at the local brick and hearth stone place on a pallet back in a corner. The pattern is an exact match, and the color is just a bit lighter due to the old stuff being exposed to ash for who knows how many years..
