The trip is a little more than a month away, so time to start coordinating some of details....like the Pot Luck!

Copied from the Main thread:

Second Day of Trip (July 11th) ~ Noon Pot Luck / Party at the sandbar on the East Side of North Bimini followed by an evening dolphin cruise. My family has enjoyed this long deserted beach since 2014 and we had some amazing group trips there in 2016. @JROD has explored the mangroves and @waterboy has found some amazing starfish at the southern end. This is an area of shallow water and shifting sand so we will need to be careful but should be a great time. If anyone is really adventurous the wreck of the Hesperus is perhaps 10 miles further west and is covered up in sharks and barracuda. There are many reef areas West of North Bimini that you will pass on the 12.6 mile route to this location. I recommend visiting the Three Sisters rocks where you will find mooring buoys to tie off to, amazing scenery for snorkeling and smaller but hungry reef fish are an easy catch. You can view the route at http://tinyurl.com/zy75fsb or download it from http://tinyurl.com/h5ufatb .

My wife have been trying to force those down my throat for 8 year now. Still failing miserably, LOL

On the other hand, since we are talking ethnic food, then we will bring staffed peppers. I am a bit worried about eating that in the middle of the summer, but I am sure yall can handle.

There is plenty of water around to cool off ;)

We plan to make two types of jalapeño poppers on the grill. :p

Whatever I can grab from Kroger in Ft Lauderdale lol

more than likely cold macaroni salad/cole slaw type of stuff

Since I am not sure what kitchen utensils we will have, I will keep it simple and make Southwestern Pasta Salad.

Do jello and pudding shots count as "food" for the pot luck

Chocolate?
As a desert?

No seriously I was craving chocolate last trip It was hard to come by....

Or I can bring something else

Suggestions?

Please Mother Nature work with us ......

Chocolate?

We bring chocolate to Bimini. Not for the potluck but we always bring some. Terry's Key Lime Pie is a strong favorite for desert in our family.

Team, would like to contribute somehow, but I am on a Jet Ski. Pls let me know how can I help, maybe contribute $s to someone that has the room on their boat to buy a few items on my behalf? Definitely not the type that is comfortable freeloading of the other great people in this group. BTW, I had planned to fly my better half to Bimini, but now she tells me that she rather find a boat ride. So pls let me know if someone has room for one more lady with a big bag ;-), and again we don't expect any free rides and willing to pay. Thank you!!

I could take her to Bimini, but you will need to find a ride back to Florida.
Me and one adult is riding to Bimini, but 4 adults and 2 kids are riding back to Florida on the boat.

FYI: they are flying at $90 a person, so flying might not be a back idea either.

I might have space on my boat to take someone to Bimini. So far it is just me on my boat as my wife and kids are flying in to Bimini but riding back on the boat back to Florida.

EDIT : I will have space on my boat on the return trip if my wife and kids decide to fly back.

So you are more than welcome...

@JROD
I may be able to help. I'll know for sure in a few days...

We will bring some kind of dessert.
cookies, brownies or ??

It will just be my wife and I on our boat. We can help if you need to boat some stuff (or people) lol.
