My wife and kids are chomping at the bit. Last year we had a whole bunch of stuff to do preparing that made the time pass, this year we are pretty much all set except for the last minute packing. Still have to get the boat out of winter storage, though.
Yeah, sure can't wait to get to that beautiful blue water, and my middle daughter has been talking and talking about feeding the rays. She wants to make sure we buy plenty of squid to take over. My oldest has turned 18 and is looking very much forward to that Sand's pink grapefruit "beer" or whatever it is. She had a little the last time we were there and apparently loved it. Might even bring the scuba gear this time, I'd like to look at the Hesperus and there is supposed to be a sunken U-boat just south of Honeymoon Harbor. My youngest can't wait to jump off the Sapona again, she must've done it at least a dozen times last year. I'm hoping to maybe get a chance to go fishing with @Julian and his brother.
The Asplundh family has been officially named as the buyers of Bimini Sands. A few weeks ago I heard they were four to six weeks away from closing. Their public naming suggests that the closing is close. If the sale closes I believe it bodes well for an improvement in services for 2020. I am uncertain where pricing will go.
We’re getting closer!!! My husband and I booked at SpringHill suites in Fort Lauderdale for the night of the 30th. We booked a parking package so we have that option if the lot at Harbour Towne is full. The hotel is only 2 miles or so from the marina.
Today we’re working on a dual battery set up and installing the radio! We have also purchased the handheld and I think we’ll be able to get the gas cans this week. I think that’s all we needed to get the boat Bimini ready!
58 days to go!!

I'll call in advance to talk to the airport parking manager, but because we will be leaving on a Monday morning, I'm very hopeful that Harbor Towne parking wont be an issue.
Everyone should be going through their boats and getting them checked out 100%. Things like....testing and cleaning bilge pump, horn, clean out plugs, etc etc.

Check the FAQ. I dont have a 2nd bilge pump, but I do take along a ballast pump for my external ballast bags as a just in case backup, along with a good old fashioned bucket!

Mine is an Attwood Tsunami T-800 ballast pump....they are all effectively the same sort of thing. I bought mine in conjunction with some inexpensive ballast bags from Aerial bags (they used to sell their 500lb bags as a pair with the pump...seems they only sell the 350s as a pair with pump).
I hope you guys get to see improvements over there! Be sure to keep us updated on resteraunt and pool conditions!
It may be the perfect time to get there and enjoy before it starts being a big updated and more expensive place!
Keep us all informed so we can all live the dream!
